As a heads up I'm at my bro's and his router is a little buggy so I may not be able to connect. But I'll give it a try tomorrow. Also not sure if I'll have a mic for the race.

Definitely shouldn't have been, and Reina never should have given that rebound. But I enjoyed the result :)

Got the nat open but when I got back on live at 7:03 you guys had already started. A bit of a moot point however as even with the open NAT I couldn't connect.

Great race guys....I was away from most of the action for the most part. Gravity and I were about 300 feet away for about 8 laps of the race. Fun stuff, see u next week!

    Race Report

After starting in 9th place on the re-run I had a good start and got into 3rd by turn 1 and 2nd by turn 2 and then followed Casino for a lap or so but then he got me back down the main straight then he ran wide later on and I went through to take the lead. I kept running consistant laps and saw the gap grow to about 1000 ft. Then a lap or so later I saw Helli had got up to 2nd and had closed the gap to about 700 ft and was catching before he made an error which let me breath a little. I heard a couple of people behind me pit so I pitted a lap later as did Casino which pleased me as I then knew I wouldn't have to fight him with different pit stratergies. Then when Helli pitted a couple of laps later I regained the lead with about 1000ft gap but as Helli always does started to reign me in again as I came up to lap Ksherm he was kind and let me through on the straight and didn't fight me back etc then there was an incident with Helli n Ksherm which gave me a good gap back. Then I came up on Bond with a couple of laps to go and as always he was very kind and aware n let me through then I kept it clean for the win.

I would also like again to say we have a great group here and whoever is being lapped is aware and lets the lead cars through sensibly which is awesome.

for this victory I would like to thank my mother and all the people in the team and my sponsors. I would also like to thank the Road Atlanta track staff and hospitality they were top notch.

Great racing and fun as always guys thank you. Heres to the next 1

I would like to say congratulations to Del for another great victory although I have to also state that I hate what happened to DC. I would have rather that it happened to me again than for the "Godsmack" to hit somebody else.

Well what can I say, I started last, finished 2nd... Should be satisfied with that, right? Well, no, I'm a little pissed at myself, if I had run even 5 practice laps I guarantee I would have shown better... That's laziness.

Starting out I was able to pass a few cars on the first lap but not THE ENTIRE FIELD so of course playing catch-up with Del once again. On lap 4 or 5 I was just a couple hundred feet behind Del when I hit that curb at the top of the hill on turn 2-3 too hard and it nearly flipped the car. I had what I think was a pretty smart save to keep it from going over, but the cost of that was being in the super glue grass... And working my way back onto the track to avoid hitting people.

Spent the next few laps working a strategy for that curb... Go over it with both tires? (cut it)... No, not cool. try and hit it less hard? Go slower? Well, that slowed me down too much and would have got me rear ended at some point. Instead I took it wide and slow then accelerated out, and I think eventually I had a way where I was hardly losing any time.. But the problem was while I was experimenting I wasn't gaining any time on Del. Once I hashed out that strategy I started gaining again... Well I was 1st for some of it because he pitted, but you get the picture. After I pitted I really started gaining because I had my lap times coming down real well with fresh tires.

I got within a couple hundred feet ago and was hoping to make a run on Del on the next two laps but unfortunately a bit of unselfishness by Ksherm worked against me. He didn't know I was there and after Del passed him he slowed up a great deal so that he wouldn't have to pass Del again on the straight. By the way, I don't know if I've ever seen more begging and pleading even in the slums of San Diego than Del today!

"Oooh please don't pass me back!" :D (where would YOU wanna live if you were homeless.... New York, or the best weather in the world? Suffice to say we have a lot of beggars).

Well after Ksherm slowed up for him on the straight, he then gave him extra room in the corner by braking early. I was right behind him and he didn't know it... I had no pass yet so I wasn't calling it. I expected him to brake so the brake light didn't phase me, but I didn't expect him to brake nearly as hard as he did since we weren't near the corner yet. I had nowhere to go, and fucking HAMMERED him.

I made a real sneaky pass on a lapped VaSteelah hoping for a last-minute run at first but any hopes of that were hampered by my fucked-up aero... lost around 10-15 MPH.. Wouldn't have been able to do it anyway most likely. Great race, lotta fun, and I'm exceedingly happy with 2nd... Should have been a flip and a ruined car...

LOL, that last pass you had on me came out of nowhere. Im guessing i was blinded by how slow my car was running because I honestly didn't even see a blue circle anywhere behind me.
All in all a fun race until Del fired some kinda invisible missile at my rear left tire, lol

    A few thoughts

    1. I hope the numbers get back to normal next week
    2. drivers posts are getting fewer
    3. Lets keep the momentum up til the end please guys

I really want to see the good numbers and posts run til the end of this series and I fear im seeing a start of a drop in interest. I hope I am wrong but we need to step it up n keep it going it's a great series and Helli has put good work into it don't let him down. Also Helli if you need a hand updating points or anything etc just give me a shout buddy il help you out mate.

Again if anyone needs any help with there car please send me a message with your pi and what car your in (make, model and year) and I will happily build, tune and send it to you.

I will do whatever I can to keep it all going well til the end as in the past we have had a few series here that haven't made it and I really don't want this to be another so lets buck up n drive it forward. I would also like to see more race reports done by the drivers, saying you had a quiet race is bs cos you can easily do a few lines on the start, where you expected to finish and where you actually finished, best lap time etc etc. I commend Gators for his reports they are fun to read keep it up buddy. Look at a race report as a NCAA game recap.

I would do race reports, but does anyone really want to read "I had a solid start, but Del flew past me. After a few laps, Hello passed me like I was in reverse. DC had a nice run and got me on a straightaway. (Someone else) had a great run and I couldn't get to them to make a move. Over the final fifteen laps, I really learned to appreciate the beauty of this game, as nobody was visible in my mirror or in front of me.

    Also, I almost flipped twice."

That's my summary of every race, minus last week, where I didn't flip. :p

my point is it adds to the threads so any new guys looking can see we have a Forza community here and get to learn how we do things also it's still nice to see things from another drivers perspective as far as lap times and what they expected etc, also helps with keeping momentum and for us to see how new guys are progressing and maybe where they can be helped etc. For instance why do you think you flipped suspension to stiff or driving line hitting the wrong curb to hard etc. More discussion is needed here and id like to help people out if they want it and that in turn will busy up the Forza threads etc. We want people to have fun and get quicker and the forum can assist that.

Also trust me I've been racing here for 2 years now and at the start of a series we see all the enthusiasm n posts etc and it all looks good then halfway through posts start getting fewer n people are to busy picking their noses to race etc etc then the series doesn't reach the end and I don't want that to happen.

A race report is not a requirement of being in the series. I have really enjoyed your involvement and I think you're gonna be tough to beat if you keep at it. But yes I would enjoy reading any recap.
