down 24 -0 in the 2nd qt the bear did not quit and did not die but they did loose by 3 on a last second kick final score ucla 34 cal 31.. zack came out 0-9 and was benched hinder threw and early pic but bounced back nicely to rally the bears almost all the way back how far will the bears fall in ranking we shall see .. but sonny dykes was pleased with the no quit in his team and looks forward to hosting the beavs next week ...

sonny said his defense has to get better along with a QB that is ready ... OC tony franklin said JR Austin Hinder has the job as of know... Rs Zack Kline will be regualted to back up duty ... " if we had not dough such a hole for our defense but we could have and should have won... even with the 2 turnovers

a 6 win season is still within range and thus a bowl game which in a first season for the sonny dykes era at CAL with new staff new schemes on both side of both with youth and depth issues abound we would call that a win but .. with this loss can the bears get 2 more wins alot of tough teams to go home games with OR st and AZ and USC along with the trips to Wash, CO and ending up across the bay in the big game down on the farm vs the furd

The Virginia Tech Hokies played poor host to their newest ACC opponent as they beat the Pitt Panthers 60-36. This biggest story of the game comes from the QB position as Logan Thomas has officially lost the starting job to Mark Leal. Thomas began the day by overthrowing two receivers as well as nearly tossing yet another INT on the season he was pulled from the game thus giving Leal his much deserved opportunity. Once handed the reigns Leal made it apparent that he should have been the starter all along going 15/19 with 226 yards and 2 TDs through the air as well as leading the team in rushing with 136 yards and 2 TDs. HB J.C. Coleman was also a huge contributor rushing for 127 yards and 3 TDs thus placing himself in the hunt of the Heisman.

Mark Leal has been named the starting QB after his week 7 performance 15/19 226 yds 2 TDs, 14 rushes 136 yds 2 TDs.
