    Week 7 S3 Summaries:

    #12 Nevada @ Boise St.

Nevada was alittle concerned playing the talented team of BSU on their blue grass. The defense of Nevada started strong and held off the offensive powerhouse of BSU and the offense ended up with a FG. The next offensive series for BSU they come out and bust a 53 yard TD pass (after breaking 3 tackles).

    7-3 BSU

    2nd QTR

The Wolfpack give up another long 36 yard TD pass (breaks 2 tackles). So Nevada finally dials up some effective plays to combat the run and gun offense of BSU by getting a long TD pass by JR QB T.Lantrip to JR WR B.Wimberly. Two extra TD passes this time to SR WR S.Anderson for 17 yards and 73 yards. Before the half ended BSU gets on the board again and get a 5 yard TD pass.

    24-21 Wolfpack

    3rd QTR

The Wolfpack came out the 2nd half fired up and get a 1 yard TD run by JR RB J.Fogerson. BSU answers with a FG.

    31-24 Wolfpack

    4th QTR

The Wolfpack score again this time on a 1 yard run from JR RB M.Ball. BSU gets another 79 yard TD pass. (broke 2 tackles). After getting stopped on 3rd and 10 on the BSU 48 yard line the Wolfpack pin the BSU offense on the 1 yard line from the punt. The next play the Wolfpack swarm the QB with a blitz and get the safety to end the game.

    Final 40-31 Wolfpack

Wsu takes a big victory from Ucla. The passing game had issues all game going 9-19 139yds. The running game was HUGE this game Crawford ran 27 times for 289yds and 6td Game was tied at halftime 28-28 as Wsu couldnt stop ucla at all on offense. Outscoring ucla 14-3 in the 3rd quarter helped seal the victory and each team scored one td in the 4th quarter Final score 49-37 WSU

BOWLING GREEN ESCAPES BUFFALO WITH A 21 - 7 VICTORY

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- In a defensive struggle, BG was able to muster enough offense to defeat Buffalo in a critical MAC EAST game, 21 - 7. BG freshman running back Blake Gardner rushed for 121 yards on 25 carries and scored 2 touchdowns to lead the BG offense.

The key moment in the game was late in the first quarter with the game tied at 0. EVO Heisman hopeful, Jeffvon Gill, went down with a wrist injury and would not return. Prior to the injury, Gill rushed for 44 yards on 7 carries and was instrumental in Buffalo's first 15 play touchdown drive to start the game. His replacement, freshman Brett Mosley would not be nearly as effective. Mosley would finish the game with 54 yards on 20 carries.

Game was tied at 0, but Gill going down was the difference. Mosley will be good for me in 2-3 years. He is one of my recruits from last year's class.

    #19 Stanford 40-33 Arizona State

Luck Returns and Leads Cardinal to Victory

Andrew Luck celebrates 1 of his 3 touchdown passes

For the 2nd game in a row, Stanford's defense forced a fumble on the first play of the game when Thomas Keiser flew out from his position at defensive end into the flat and stripped the ball carrier from behind and Delano Howell was able to fall on it before it rolled out of bounds. The Cardinal offense trotted out onto the field, led once again by star quarterback Andrew Luck, who has recovered from his hip pointer. Luck did well in trying to get his Evo Heisman campaign back on track, completing his first 15 passes and earning Player of the Game honors again. Stanford converted the Sun Devil turnover into 7 points on just 3 plays, covering 22 yards, as Luck went 3-3 ending with a touchdown pass to JR Patterson.

Arizona State responded with a 6 play 67-yard touchdown drive to tie the score 7-7. Luck would once again be unstoppable, which was good because Stanford would lose freshman phenom running back Braylon Ingram for the game on their 2nd drive with a strained peck. Luck would go 5-5 throwing for another 69 yards and throwing a touchdown pass to star freshman tight end Ben Hill. Hill has been great through half a season, he is currently leading the Pac-10 in receptions and is tied for 4th with 4 touchdown catches, but by the looks of things today, those numbers and rankings are only going to improve. The 1st quarter ended with Stanford up 14-7 and on the 1st play of the 2nd quarter, Luck hit Hill on a corner route, Hill slapped down one defender and hurdled another to score on the 31-yard pass play. David Green added 2 field goals after Arizona State scored a 2nd quarter touchdown to get to within a touchdown and Stanford went into the half up 24-14.

Stanford came out and after moving the ball to the Arizona State 28 yardline, had to settle for a 45-yard field goal, Green's 3rd of the day. With :22 left in the quarter, Stepfan Taylor scored on a 2-yard run and up 34-14 heading into the 4th quarter, felt a little too comfortable. Arizona State took just under 2:00 to respond with a touchdown to cut the lead to 13. Stanford recovered the onside kick, but couldn't gain a first down and had to settle for Green's 4th field goal of the day to make the score 40-20. One minute later, Arizona State scored again to get to within two scores, then recovered the onside kick and scored :27 later to get to within 7 after the missed PAT. This time, Stanford recovered the onside kick and was able to run out the clock and improve to 5-1 overall 3-1 in the Pac-10.
