    Week 7 Scores

    Maryland wins rivalry game 27-21

In a game that really wasn't as close as the score would indicate, the Maryland Terrapins defeated their rival, the Virginia Cavaliers, 27-21. Maryland held a comfortable 13 point lead late in the fourth quarter before missing a field goal and allowing Virginia to score a touchdown in garbage time against a very soft prevent defense. Player of the game honors goes to Maryland WR Ronnie Tyler who reeled in 6 catches for 137 yards and one touchdown.

The Miami Hurricaine bounce back from last weeks lost to beat the Blue Devils 34-17. It's nice to be back on the right track. http://www.easports.com/dynasty#module=moduleStoryView&story=$00125a401766_F3CB_6A217855&dynid=62411&sku=662A0001&sid=0&wknum=6

Auburn searching for a reason to continue and hope... slip to 0-2 without Newton

Down by 28 in fourth the tigers rallied cutting it to 5 with 25 seconds to go but onside did no go their way... the offense struggled. It seems as if the tigers have packed it in for the season...

Waiting for Newtons return, looks like the alabama and bowl game is all newton will have to worry about...

The tigers are really down and I again puked when I see Neil Cauddle under center.. he is a slow noodled arm undersized qb... and I run a spread with reads and tough passes to the edges..you do the math lol

Tigers look to get bowl eligible asap maybe next week but I doubt it.

Sorry to all the other great games that have been played this season but this week’s game between #4 FSU and Boston College probably was the game of the season.

On paper this should have been an easy win for FSU as they are the more talented team, but apparently BC didn’t get the message as they were ready to give the Seminoles a dog fight. Florida State won the opening coin toss and decided to take the ball first. An efficient drive culminated with an 18 yard TD pass from Christian Ponder to Taiwan Easterling to put the home team up early. BC answered back with a great drive of their own which saw Mike Marscovetra connect with TE Jordan McMichael to tie the game up at 7-7. In FSU’s next drive, Ponder made a horrible decision to pitch on an option play and it was picked off and returned for a TD to put the Eagles up 14-7.

Ponder recovered from the lapse in judgment to put together a great second quarter. The teams combined for 42 point in the second frame as FSU exploded with 21 unanswered to gain momentum. The last score of the 21-0 run was a great 53 yard interception return by Ochuko Jenije. It looked like FSU was finally in full control of the game, but BC was not ready to be out of this game. A 77 yard catch and run by Colin Larmond closed the gap to 7. BC then picked off Ponder and scored on the subsequent drive to tie the game up with 40 second left in the half. This was plenty of time as the Seminoles quickly moved down the field and scored on a 3 yard Chris Thompson draw run. The score at the end of the first half was 35-28.

The third quarter was relatively quiet as FSU scored the only TD after a BC field goal and saw their lead at the end of the quarter to get up to a 42-31 lead. Little did FSU know that they were in for a tense 4th quarter. Early in the quarter, BC whittled the lead down to 4 following a 49 yard TD run by Montel Harris. FSU answered back with a second TD from Ponder to Easterling, this time a 10 yard pass. BC then knifed through the Seminole defense to score again and attempted a 2 point conversion to put the deficit to 3 point but came up short. The Eagles went for the onside kick, but kicked it way too short and FSU took control of the ball. The Eagles stopped FSU from gaining a first down so the Seminoles had to kick the FG to go up 52-44. BC has 1:32 to work with to try to tie the game up. FSU’s defense continued its horrible play as they allowed BC to work their way down the field. FSU had no answers all game and BC received seemed to be wide open all game. With 8 seconds left in the game, Marscovetra found Larmond in the endzone for the touchdown, the only thing that was left was the 2 pt conversion for BC to pull off the great comeback. BC goes with a power O run play and it looks like Harris has a chance to make it into the endzone when he is tackled from behind and ends up fumbling the ball 1 yd away from the goaline. LB Jeff Luc picked up the ball to break the hearts of a courageous BC team. Final score 52-50.

Ponder was the player of the game leading a great FSU offense going 20-31 for 336 yds , 4 TD and 1 INT. The gameball could be shared with 2 BC standouts though as Marscovetra had an amazing game with a 26-36 effort racking up 416 yards and 4 TD along with 2 INT. His favorite target Colin Larmond torched the Seminole defense for 9 receptions for 213 yards and 2 TD.

Look at it this way... If you win you would have knocked off the probable #1 Team in the country.
