It's that time again. I may have time tonight, but it would be a small window.... Would have to start between like 8 and 9. Available most of the day tomorrow tho. What works for you?

Wednesday night we played and he ran something through the QB run game (read option mostly, option, draws, etc) or occasionally threw a curl. If the curl wasn't open, he scrambled. I kid you not, he did that 90% of his first half plays. He would try running even on 3rd and 6. Anything longer and it'd be a curl.

He sent me a halftime message stating "be wary of my HitchNGo coming" or something to that effect while I sent him a "only option and curls? wtf?" message. 2nd half I figured if he improved then I'd overlook it and if he didn't, I'd have to take action. It was more of the same.

I had just scored and converted for 2 to make it an 8 point game. He decided to go for it on 4th and 1 in his own territory and I started to message him but realized it was the 4th quarter and he can do whatever the hell he wants in the 4th, imo. (Still, throwing to your RB deep on 4th and 1 instead of kicking it is some video game shit(one of his 10% plays where he came out in a compressed 4 WR and motioned the RB to the left.))

Later, I sent him a message saying he can replay me with an appropriate offense, or he can kick rocks and I'll keep the loss. Letting guys like him hang around are what drives the good sim guys (like Recchem) out of here. He was fine with it and we discussed what he did wrong. He didn't see anything wrong with it. (After all, he had just played 5 ranked games prior to playing me and it was fine then.)

Another weird thing was I scouted him and his QB rushing numbers weren't anything crazy so I don't know if he was just pulling out all the cheesy stops to topple Yale or what. His QB was only 81 speed and not all that.

We restarted Thursday night (with a 'Mix it up, baby!' pregame text from me) and, even though I got cheesed hard in game 1 and something had to be done, I still felt guilty as hell that I got out of a loss. 2nd game saw me jump out to a 17-0 lead in the first quarter and I asked if he wanted to restart a 3rd time to alleviate a little bit of my guilt and he agreed.

3rd game, I jumped out to a 21-7 lead. He attempted to go for it on 4th and 5 in his own territory in the mid 2nd quarter and I told him he couldn't do that. That appeared to be the straw. He told me it wasn't fun anymore and that he was going to quit at half but I convinced him to at least finish out the game (so I could run up the score on him even more lol)

Nice guy, but good riddance. I didn't want him using that stuff on someone who doesn't know any better.

The above is interesting because I had no problems with him at all in my game against him the first time we played. The offense you describe is also very different from what I saw last season, but I suppose he may have switched it up and pulled out all the stops to cheese/beat you as you mentioned. I wish he would've been able to stick around, seemed semi-active and was on pace to have a pretty good team.

So I'm playing the CPU, correct?

Yeah I was disappointed. I even played him in an audition game and he wasn't bad at all. It may have been his ranked game marathon he was on before I played him, I don't know.

Yeah I saw a lot of that in our game last season. It was that mother F ing option read the entire game. So I had to put more guys in the box. If he did pass,m he ended up scrambling a lot. But I ended up winning so I let it go.

Was he running that flex read option crap? Or was he being a man and doing it out of inline formations?

Mostly 3 wide with a TE shotgun... Woudl have the 3 wide on one side and despite having it on aggressive QB contain, my whole F ing defense would bite on the RB and his QB would have nothing but open field.

Princeton upsets previously unbeaten Penn, 38-22.

The Princeton defense had 10 interceptions on the day! Only allowing 246 total yards for the Quakers.

The Princeton ground game was on full throttle running for 305 yards on 49 carries!

Man press coverage might be the most EA thing ever. Ugh. Still pissed about those 10 mf-in picks. But, good win for Princeton.
