    Seminoles defeat Terrapins 38-22

It was the Chris Thompson show in Tallahassee this evening as he ran roughshod over the Maryland defense gaining 161 rushing on just 16 carries. The highlight of the night was a 78 yard run which setup a Lonnie Pryor touchdown reception. QB EJ Manuel struggled early having a fumble which was picked up by LE Isaiah Ross and ran back for a 68 yard touchdown. However Manuel composed himself and lead 4 touchdown drives before subbing out at the end of the 3rd quarter.

Maryland's offense was completely contained by the FSU defense until the 2nd string came to start the 4th quarter. Terrapin QB Danny O'Brien dominated the 4th leading 2 touchdown drives including a 4th and 17 completion.

While the victory is welcome for FSU, the play of RE Brandon Jenkins is concerning for the coaching staff. Jenkins only has one sack on the season and was a complete non-factor again finishing with only 1 tackle. Bjoern Werner completely outshone his more notable counterpart sacking O'Brien 3 times. For the FSU defense to be at it's best, Jenkins has to return to form quickly.

    BACK ON TRACK

The Miami Hurricanes defense was picked apart by the local media after last weeks meltdown in Chapel Hill. "We came out today with something to prove." said DE Olivier Vernon after his Canes took down Georgia Tech 31-12. The Defense gave up only 234 yards total after giving up over 500 last week. Vernon set the tone early scooping up a fumble and returning it for a TD on Techs 1st series of the day. Sean Spence and Ray Ray Armstrong lead the team with 7 tackles apiece. Vaughn Telemaque added 6 tackles and several pass's defended. On Offense the Canes were lead by Mike James (17 att 139 yards) and Eduardo Clements (13 att 75 yards 1 td) on the ground and Tommy Streeter who had 7 catches for 81 yards and 1 td. QB Jacory Harris had his ups and downs 3 TO's in the red zone really hurt what was a good passing day. He moved the ball well between the 20's but once inside the 20 he made 3 really bad throws that were picked. This put Miami back on track to make the ACC championship game. They need Clemson to beat UNC this week and they will again have a chance if they win out to make it too Charlotte at the end of the season. Miami had a big recruit weekend hosting three 5 star recruits we shall see next week how they faired.

KSU shows up for crunch time

Kansas made it a point to stop the run early often placing 7 or 8 in the box. KSU QB Klein Lit up the Kanas secondary with passes to the Wr and to the TE who had 2 long receptions and totaled over 100 yards receiving. Once Kansas finally took the 8th guy out of the box Brown ripped off runs of 8- 10 yards. What really gashed the Jayhawks though was the Wildcat. KSU would rip 3 long touchdown runs out of the wildcat that would provide the difference in the game. KSU had 1 turnover and Kansas would turn the 3 times all in crucial situations.

What can brown do for you watch

    Bryce Brown 19 carries 121 yards 4 TD 1 catch 5 yards

    Arthur Brown 1 tackle

    A Much-Needed Win

Oklahoma started the game with a touchdown on the opening kickoff, as Roy Finch took it 96 yards to the house.
The Sooners were able to find their running game against the Red Raiders, as Dominique Whaley rushed for 155 yards and a TD on 20 carries. The run defense stepped up once again, holding Texas Tech to only 30 yards on the ground. Oklahoma really struggled on 3rd down, going 1-8 on the day. Landry Jones continued his less than stellar play, going 12-21 for 154 yards and 2 TD, but also throwing 2 INTs.

Auburn traveled to death valley on Saturday to face a disappointing (4-3) LSU tigers. Auburn jumped out to
a 10-0 lead in the first half behind a td pass to Emory Blake and a FG. LSU responded with a FG and td pass of their
own to tie the score up. However just before the half Auburn qb hit a streaking Trovon Reed for a 67 yard td pass
just before the first half was over. The second half turned into a offensive struggle for both teams with only Auburn
adding a td pass in the 4th quarter to give the Auburn Tigers a 24-10 victory.
