Week 8 Game summaries
Nice, rolling strong
Ugly win beats a pretty loss any day I guess.
Houston continues to rebuild some momentum following their dissapointing last second loss to Boise. Case Keenum has cut way back on his turnovers and is protecting the ball well. The Houston defense has really stepped up of late, as promised by Coach Big Bear.
The Cougars dominated the time of possession. The flip side of protecting the ball from turnovers is that the new cautious approach of Keenum meant that potential TD's turned into FG's, three of them in fact. As long as Houston is moving the ball and is out in front, coach Big Bear is not to concerned about taking 3 points instead of throwing a rsiky pass to get 7.
The Cougars are looking to possibly climb back into the rankings before the season closes out. They are looking solid in the C-USA West.
