    Week 8: Seahawks (39) Cowboys(14)

Defense was the name of the game today for the Seattle Seahawks as they held the Cowboys without an offensive touchdown until the fourth quarter and also recorded their first safety of the season. Tony Romo isn't to blame for the lack of offense for Dallas as their receivers recorded six drops with half of those coming from Roy "I'm the #1 receiver" Williams. Tashard Choice was having a pretty good day rushing eight times for 44 yards. He didn't get as many opportunities as he would of liked as the Seahawks jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter on two connections from Hasselbeck to Brandon Marshal.

Brandon Marshall doing it all day as he reeled in 9 catches.

Roy Williams had a rough day.

Defensively the Cowboys were able to hold the Seahawks three and out for plenty of drives after two quick scores by the Seahawks. The unit ended up putting up the first Cowboys touchdown of the game as Hasselbeck made a bad read and was picked by Scandrick and returned to the house, but eventually the defense broke down from being on the field so much. Edgerrin James stuck the nail in the coffin as he broke a 58 yard run to put the game out of reach in the fourth quarter. It appears that Brandon Marshall has made a huge impact on his first game back from injury as he was named MVP of the game.

Once again the Seahawks have defied the odds and win their third straight game despite being the underdog each week.

Edgerrin James running rampant on the tired Dallas defense.

Romo couldn't do anything about the good passes that resulted in dropped balls.

Matt Hasselbeck: 14-24 for 298 yards 2 TDs 1 int
Edgerrin James: 22 attempts for 123 yards 2 TDs
Julius Jones: 13 attempts 52 yards
Brandon Marshall: 9 catches 188 yards 2 TDs
    T.J Houshmanzadeh: 4 catches 90 yards

Tony Romo: 15-32 for 217 yards 1 TD 2 ints
Tashard Choice: 8 attempts 44 yards
Patrick Crayton: 5 catches 63 yards 1 TD
Roy Williams: 1 catch 8 yards 3 drops
Orlando Scandrick: 3 tackles 1 int 1 TD

    Game MVP: Brandon Marshall

GG Cowboys, Good luck the rest of the year.
