    Week 8 Seahawks 42 Vikings 35

What a wild game this turned in to tonight. The Seahawks opened up a big first half lead 24-0 behind Matt Hasselbeck and his passing. Hasselbeck hit Brandon Marshall and Dion Butler both on deep passes that were taken down inside the 2 yards line each time. Both times FB Owen Schmit plunged in for a TD. While Vikes QB Chad Penninton's struggles helped the Hawks out he also turned it around at times and got them back in the game. Big plays for the Vikes were all over in this one after getting down 24-0 they returned the KO 101 yards for a TD. A real big first half play was and INT in the endzone thrown by Pennington late when Minny could have cut the lead to 10 before the half.

Vikes came out firing in the second half and got the lead down to 27-14 early in the 4th QT when Pennington threw a pick 6 making it 34-14. However the Vikes went right down the field fast and scored a TD with AP plunging in for a TD. After a bad 3 and out by Seattle the Vikes got the ball back a went right down the field again in less than a minute making the score 34-28 Seattle. Coach Dunn instructed his QB to take care of the ball and run some clock with just under 6 minutes left in the game. Apparently that fell on deaf ears as Hasselbeck quickly threw a pick 6 of his own and all of a sudden Seattle had blown leads of 24 and 20 and were now down 35-34 with just over 5 minutes left. The Seahawks did get their act together and went back to their O mixing run and short passes and a couple huge 3rd down pick ups ending in a Clinton Portis 4 yd run with only 9 seconds left. Final Seahawks 42-35...
Great Game Soldier Pennington was a little feast or famine in this one and put you in a big hole.

    Clinton Portis 17-59-1 TD
Owen Schmit 9 yds and 2 TDs
