Steelers get the win in OT Thriller

Pittsburgh takes it to overtime to get the win over the Oakland Raiders, 27-24. Things started off great for the Steelers as they were able to drive down the field on their first possession on Big Ben pass to Brown. He caught the short pass and eluded tacklers to the 49 yard TD. Oakland would answer with a nice drive of their own to even things up. Oakland would take the lead off the leg of Janikowski for a 57 yard FG. Ben would throw a pick and put Oakland in scoring position. They would capitalize with a McFadden 2 yard run to go up 17 to 7. The offense would come alive to tighten things back up. Le'Veon Bell finds a big hole in the defense and races 62 yards for the touchdown. After the Raiders drive stalled, the Steelers would put together a drive to get Suisam close enough to tie the game before the half. The score would 17 all.

The second half started off with neither team able to get anything going as both defenses stiffened up after the break. The fourth quarter started off pretty much the same. The Raiders OC put together a great offensive plan to put his team up 7 with 3:11 to go in the game. Not to be out done, the Steelers OC would do the same using a mix of run and pass to that culminated in a Dwyer 4 yard TD with 14 seconds left in the game. The Raiders would try to get themselves in position for the game winning FG, but Cortez Allen had different plans and picked off Pryor near the sideline. The Raiders would win the coin toss and elect to receive the ball as OT started. On the very first play in overtime, Larry Foote makes a great play in the ball and picks it off, putting the offense in kicking range. Suisam would end the game there from 37 yards.

    Le'Veon Bell 12 attempts 117 yards 1 TD
