Clemson Plays Poor Host
The Tigers are overjoyed after a home win against arch-rival NC State.
DEATH VALLEY- The Clemson Tigers exact revenge on rival NCST Wolfpack with a 49-24 victory. Stemming from a year ago, Coach BG and his team had this game circled on their calendars. It was the Wolfpack that ended The Tiger's chance at a possible BCS Championship game. Although Clemson won the game, at one point in the first half, it didn't seem as if it was going to be that way. NCST's passing game was relentless as the school's 2 QB's combined for over 400yds passing, but 3 costly turnovers while in scoring range proved to be too devastating for The Wolfpack to overcome. The QB's for Clemson were no-existent, but it was the running game that overpowered NCST; particularly HB Mason McFarland. He went over the 250 yd mark on the ground with just 14 attempts. His 4 td's helped his team out tremendously as the Wolpack had no answer for the runner. The win leaves Clemson with a 6-0(4-0) record midway through the season. Next up, The Syracuse Orangemen!
TEXAS A&M BEATS OHIO STATE IN DOUBLE OT! In a hard fought game, the Aggies managed the upset of #21 Ohio State. The Wrecking crew forced 4 Miller Interceptions. The aggie defense stiffled tOSU's passing attack allowing only 140 through the air. aTm's Showers looked solid throwing for 286 and 3TDs and 1 INT. aTm Jumped out to a 7-0 lead after a missed field goal in the first. Miller would answer back for tOSU with a 53 yard scamper tying the game a 7-7. The Aggie offense would answer back just before half time with a 57 yard TD pass on a hail mary in the last 3 seconds of the half. A&M would head into half time leading 14-7. tOSU would own the 3rd quarter, silencing the aggie offense and adding 14 points, on the legs of Miller and Tate. Showers would lead the aggies down the field with help from back up TB Trey Williams, evening up the score 21-21 with just under 7mins to go in the game. The Wrecking crew was struggling to slow the Buckeyes, but managed to force a field goal with just 3:13 to go. The final drive would be driven down the field on the legs of Trey Williams and the arm of Jamil Showers. The Aggies, nickel and dimed their way down the field, converting once on 4th down. As the aggies, drew close to the goal line, poor clock management by Coach Taylor nearly cost the aggies a shot a winning or tying. An incomplete pass would save the aggies on the day and allow for the FG unit to come out and hit the game tying FG as time Expired. In OT the Aggie offense too the field first. Riding on the second half success of its running game, Trey Williams plowed into the end Zone to go up 31-24. but Ryty was not going with out a fight. Using his success with running the read option Miller would get OSU inside the 5 and Tate made it into the endzone, tying up the game 31-31 all. OSU's offense, stayed out on the field, and was quickly stopped by Miller's 4th INT. aTm rolled out on the legs of Trey Williams and set up Taylor Bertolet from 22 yards out. Hats off to ryty32, this was by far one of the best games i have played this release. Great Game ryty, could have easily gone in your favor!
