yes. i always confuse those two
Well guys I will be missing this race.
While unpacking my xbox at the hotel I realized that I forgot my wireless adapter. I'm fucking pissed.
Ah that sucks man... Sorry to hear that.
I smell something fishy. Casino gets a PI boost after beating me, but I stay the same?
i'll be here this week
I group people more by the current points total than by what they did in the recent race.
In other words Casino probably should have been bumped last week.
Yeah, I figured that one out. Was more just complaining.
Well I know my car is slow off the start and I take it slow on the first 2-3 turns but fuck I am like a punching bag out there. Anyway I knew coming in tonite after doing about 15 practice laps that this is not a track for my car and I did not have enough time to tune it right. I immediately went to to start off. I passed Ksherm pretty quickly then stayed in 11th place for the duration of the race. I was just working on staying on course and trying my hardest to break go under 2:15 (which i never achieved). What was interesting was on the last 2 laps I notice Dylema's car in the distance and decided to go for it. I think he decided to focus on me gaining on him rather than the road ahead as I caught up to him on the last straight before the tight s-turn before the pits. I nailed the gas after that s- turn on the last turn into the final straightaway and passed Dylema by one hood length to finish in 10th place....WOOT!
podium woohoo, champagne tonight
After starting in 3rd place I got a good solid start as usual and jumped steelah on the run down into turn 1 n settled in behind sng for a lap or 2 til he ran wide in turn 2 and I took the lead. I gradually started to pull away from him inch by inch but it was hard to gain ground on him he was driving really well. I knew Helli would be catching up at some point. I was putting in good mid 2:12 laps most of the race and I saw Helli on me as we were entering the mid race stage. I wasn't sure when to pit so kept an eye on him. Just as I think he would get me on the main straight he darted into the pits so I pitted on the next lap to try and limit the time difference for him to be on better tyres and I nearly made it work but he passed me as I exited the pits on the run down to turn 1. I looked at the feet and saw I had about 2600ft over sng and dc was gaining on him. I managed that gap looking after my car to bring home another 2nd place and a good haul of points and I was watching closely hoping sng would hold off dc.
Great nights racing as always and a good turnout so thank you guys and thank you Helli for running it.
I was chasing cnic I think for like 5 laps and decided to push it as hard as I could resulting in me making up half second a lap but pushing it a little over my limit. With 3 laps left I kind of just went into cruise mode and then noticed you pulled up to 500 feet and with that speed I didn't have enough turns to build out my lead again.
Riding with the Rookie Part VII
My nemisis is clearly the tuning of these cars. I drove countless practice laps working on tuning the springs....and well, that's as far as I got. I can definitely see my driving is improving as I put in more seat time, but until I figure out these tunes, I'm never going to get on pace with you guys. (Yes I'm being stubborn and trying to tune these myself rather than using the tunes helli and del have supplied.....it's the only way for me to learn in the end.)
Beginning of Race:
I started out on the front line the first two starts and had good starts. Then, on the third restart, I stalled the damn thing on the green light lol. Thankfully whoever was behind me managed to avoid me somehow. I got her running and headed into turn one with all the traffic. The first half of lap 1 we had a 3 car train bumper to bumper until JMS got loose in at the end of the esses. I bumped the car in front of me as he braked and I think that damaged my front aero a bit. I'd hold onto 11th for a bit but then JMS caught back up and I made a mistake letting him pass.
Mid race / End Race:
Nothing much to report here. I ran solid laps but my consistency killed me. I ran my best lap putting down a nice 2:17 then on the subsequent lap, I go off course in the esses. I just can't keep things together it seems. In the end, my inconsistency took me down. The car had a lot of grip which was nice, but the damn thing just wouldn't turn in as it would push through the corners. I've gotta get this figured out somehow and hopefully that will be this week because next weeks track looks like a nice one for the rear wheel drive cars.
Nice race guys. Another fun night.
plus my car has a rubberband engine.
Start 1 - I was 4th on the starting grid
Start 2 - I was 4th on the starting grid
Start 3 - I was near the end of the grid right behind JMS. Green flag drops, I hit the gas, JMS doesnt. I slow down and I think i managed not to hit him. I follow him through the first 6 or 7 corners trying not to end up in his front seat because he is driving like an old lady as usual until I finally clipped him. Lucky for me, I stayed on the track. Unlucky for me, both my front and rear bumpers had dimples. Hoping it wouldnt affect me that much since I have to get out and push my car every now and then anyway, I was wrong. I get to the straights and I can't even reach 5th gear anymore. I have no shot at catching anyone up front unless they mess up with thankfully, they did a few times but then, so did I. I ended the race in 7th I think, even though I could get within 200ft of the guy in front of me only to see him open up to over 1000 when he came out of a turn. I need the 1.21gigawatts of power to get me to 88.
U guys should have been more patient....I was more than happy to let u go bye. I wasnt winning anything on that track.
It was the eratic breaking that fucked me up. I was gonna wait you out.
