    Week 8 UCLA 35 at Cal 20

The story was UCLA having five drives in the game and scoring five tds.

Cal couldnt get the huge stop they needed. UCLA got a stop holding to two FGs and a late fumble inside the five by the CAL TE.

Game started out with a long drive and 37 yd TD run by Senior RB Coleman.

Cal answered with a Vareen 21 yd dash over the top of the Bruin defenders.

UCLA then hit a TD pass to Senior WR Rasario for a 14-7 lead.

Back comes Cal but is held to a FG.

Then right before the half UCLA drive the length of the field for a TD and runs out the clock leaving no time for CAL.

UCLA leads at the half 21-10.

Vareen opened the second half by capping off a long drive with a one yard plunge.

UCLA answered right back again as they would all day with a 1 yd TD run by Franklin.

28-17 UCLA at the end of three.

A Cal FG would cut it to a one score game and UCLA would add a TD by RB Coleman to ice the game.

POG on O was Coleman with an honorable mention to Prince with two td passes and several huge plays during the game.

Malcom Jones led the D with 11 solo tackles and two for loss.

No sacks for UCLA and Cal had 1 for thier team and only one turnover, penalties played a role with UCLA netting three for 40 yards and Cal one for 15.

UCLA moves to 6-1 and looks for revenge next week vs Stanford.

    GG Josh.

    Some highlights on Dynasty wire.

Nice win Rusty. I didn't get your call as I was in the other room getting my pregnant wife to bed, if you're still up and about and whatnot give me a ring, otherwise I'll call ya tomorrow. You pretty much kicked the front door down on Cal's season....

    Nice write up.

    Seems like a good game.

UCLA is making some statements this year.

Cal needs to take advantage of the recruiting hotbed.

Vereen is a beast, should be moved to linebacker or safety.

Maybe next season Fosh can stream it for the masses.

I remember Ron Dayne dominating UCLA in the Rose Bowl.

    It was fantastic.

    lol dude you're too much.

Why are you making fun of Rusty's story.

Aw fuck it I had a good laugh and now I'm ready to forgive you for dicking me on the DT last year.

UCLA is very tough I'm not looking forward to playing them this year.

UCLA did what they wanted to the boys from Berkley.

Game changing play had to be in the 1st half on 3rd down when your QB rolled out to the left, my DE got off his block switched to user and I hit sticked and Prince spun out of the tackle (I absolutely thought 100 % I was going to destroy Prince on that play.). After the spin he heaves it 30 yards down field to a receiver breaking back to the ball. That was just painful!!!

Prince also had 2 long runs on 3rd down that were back breakers.

Bottom line, I will say it again UCLA did what ever they wanted. Can't win games without stops.

    GG Bruce

I hear that. Defense only plays on 1st and 2nd down.

nice win BruceBruce. sets up a huge UCLA vs. Stanford tilt.

hopefully USF and Pitt get their game in some time before Christmas so we can play.

That was a very lucky play Josh no doubt about it. Should have been a sack and the pass was the result of me mashing buttons trying to get rid of the ball.

Total luck but you need that to win user games in this league.

Prince is a stud for his overall rating of 82.

Outside of that i thought it was a very well played game, not many turnovers and some very nice offense being run on both sides.
