    Week 8

Steelers hosted the Jags at Heinz stadium and the Jags pounced all over the Steelers. The Jags took the opening kickoff in for the score and never looked back. QB Kyle James would find WR D. Mitchell for a 16 yd TD pass to give the Jags a 7-0 lead after 1st qtr. The Jags defense would shutdown the Steelers everytime they threatened.

In the second qtr both teams traded FGs and the Jags went into the half leading 10-3. The Jags defense would dominate the 3rd qtr not allowing the Steelers to get anything on the board. The Jags offense was sparked by HB MJD as he would take a handoff off left tackle, break 4 tackle and go 71 yds for the TD giving the Jags a 17-3 lead after 3 qtrs.

The Steelers would finally get a TD on a 2 yd run by HB W. Parker to cut the lead to 17-10 but the Jags would score the next 16 points in the qtr, 7 on a TD pass from James to Mitchell again, this time from 46 yds out to push the lead to 24-10. K Josh Scobee would add three FGs to end the scoring and make the final score Jags 33, Steelers 10. GG and GL the rest of the way Hoyt.

    Bears @ Green Bay.

After a big loss to the Packers in their first game the Bears came out with a bend but dont break D as they only allowed only 2 Packers TD's. and making them hit F.G's.

Bears D scored 2 TD's as they also held James to 47 yards.

The Cowboys traveled to Buffalo in week 8 to play a tough Bills team. This game would be all about turnovers in a heavy down pour. The Cowboys would get the first turnover on one of 4 interceptions by Bills QB Garrison. As Cowboys Lb Williams would pick off the pass. The Cowboys offense who didn't do much themselves would only be able to get a Fg out of the turnover. They would add another Fg later in the 1st to give them a 6-0 lead after one. Early in the 2nd the Bills would take the on a special teams turnover as Cowboys backup Rb and returner would fumble a punt at the 2 yd line which was picked up by the Bills Lankster for a Td.

Midway through the 2nd qtr the Cowboys would take the lead back when Mike Jenkins would pickoff a pass and returned it for a 49 yd Td. To give the Boys a 13-7 lead at halftime. Neither team would be able to do anything in the 3rd qtr as both defenses played well. In the 4th it looked liek the Cowboys would break the game open as they increased their lead to 20-7 after a Td pass from Romo to Witten. The Bills wouldn't lay down and die though and would come right back and score a Td on a 51 yd run by Lynch to get back within 6 points 20-14 with 4 mins left in the game. The Cowboys would finally be able to get the running game to click on their final drive as 2nd year Rb Keller who was in for a injuried Jones would break off a 20 yd run. That would be followed a few plays later with a 35 yd Td run by the forgotten man in Dallas Marion Barber that would seal the game for the BOys with 2:44 left and give the Cowboys a tough 27-14 win.

All wouldn't be good for the Boys in the game as starting RB Felix Jones would be hurt with a serious injury for the 3rd straight season. Felix will be on the injury list with broken ribs for 4 weeks. Which means 2nd year Rb Keller will have to step in and take on the load. In return means he will not returning kicks and punts for the next 4 games. WHich caused the Cowboys to go out and sign free agent returner Barnes would returned kicks for the Cowboys last season.

San Diego visited Minnesota trying to rebound after a bad game.

The chargers came out firing quick and score a FG on their first possession. Quinn was leading the Vikings into Chargers territory when Cromartie picked him. A couple of plays later LT burst through the middle and scored a 25 yard TD. Minnesota was driving again when Jammer stripped the ball out of Peterson and was recovered by the chargers. On the first play of the drive Rivers found Jackson for a 49 yard TD. San Diego was 17 points ahead with 3 minutes remaining in the 1st qtr but the Vikings quickly came back with a 81 yard catch and run by Harvin.

Minnesota swung the momentum in the second after a Story interception. On the ensuing drive Quinn found Bible in the end zone and the Vikes cut the gap to 3 points. San Diego's offense stalled in this quarter and as the half was a bout to end Nick Fold tie the game (after an overruled TD catch by Rice).

    Half Time
    San Diego 17
    Minnesota 17

The Vikings got the ball in the 3rd qtr and mounted a lengthy drive capped by a Jennings 2yrd TD run. After a couple of exchanged punts Rivers was able to move the ball and on a 3rd down Sproles got the ball on a screen and scampered 37 yards for the TD and the tie.

Both teams tighten up the defense in the 4th and it was anybodies game. San Diego got ahead after another Sproles TD, but there were plenty of time for the vikings to tie it. Quinn got the ball with over 3 minutes remaining and methodically started to move the chains. When the 2 minute warning came up the vikings were deep in Chargers territory. The bolts were determined to stop Minnesota short of the TD. Phillips and Feldt brought pressure from the left side a rushed Quinn to throw it into a crowded zone where Cooper intercepted it. LT and Hester gain a 1st down and with the Vikings having no TD kneel the game away.

    Final
    San Diego 31
    Minnesota 24
