    MTSU tops FAU 28-14

    [IMG]

    FAU running back Alfred Morris started off a career day for the Owls in the first quarter when he broke off a 53 yard TD run to give the Owls an early 7-0 lead. Just a minute later the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders answered, capping off the quick drive with an 11 yard TD run by DD Kyles. FAU would never see the lead again, but it would take till the 3 minute mark in the 2nd quarter for the Blue Raiders to claim it, when DD Kyles broke off a 30 yard TD run to take a 14-7 lead which they would take in to half. After holding the Owl offense, MTSU kept the offense moving, getting back into the red zone. This time the drive was capped on a 14 yard TD pass from Logan Kilgore to Malcolm Beyah. With the FAU offense being stuffed for most of the game, the Owls got a spark when Morris broke off another 50+ yard TD run, this one from 55 yards out. The Blue Raider offense went back to work and Kilgore connected to Beyah for the second straight drive on a 22 yard touchdown pass with 6 minutes to go. Despite Morris's school record-breaking 199 yard 2 TD performance, the dreadful play from FAU QB David Kooi kept them behind. The junior QB went 9-27 for 146 yards and threw 6 interceptions. The Blue Raider pass defense allowed them to sit on the ball for the rest of the game and get out of Florida with a 28-14 win to go. Star running back DD Kyles took 21 carries for 107 yards and 2 TDs, but it was WR Micah Beyah who got all the postgame interviews following his 6 rec 137 yards 2 TD performance. With the win, the Blue Raiders will no longer have to play on the road this season. After playing the first 7 of 8 games on the road, the Blue Raiders return home for a 4 game home stand to finish the season, and need just one more win to be bowl eligible. Next up are the struggling New Mexico Lobos.

    UNLV Hangs on for 2nd straight victory

    -----1st|||2nd|||3rd|||4th
    UNLV 7--- 10---- 17-- 10

    CMU 0---- 10---- 14-- 14

    Total Offense:
    UNLV: 492 (rush - 218, pass 274)

    CMU 473 (rush - 217, pass 256)

    Players of the Game:
    UNLV: QB C. Herring - 9/12 274 yards passing, 13 rushes for 110 yards 2 TDs
    CMU: RB P. Cotton 13 carries, 230 yards, 3 TD, 2 receptions 66 yards 2 TDs receiving

    Hands down the most exciting game I've played this year. It reminded me of last years game with both offenses exploding for tons of points while defenses were left in the locker room. I jumped out to a 17-7 lead and was able to hold a two score lead throughout the first half. Snoopy started running the ball for big plays and including his dynamic RB P. Cotton in the passing game in the 2nd half and all of the sudden we were trading scores back and forth. The last 6-7 possessions combined between both teams turned into TDs. The game ended with CMU having the ball on their own 20 and failing to find the endzone with under a minute left as time expired. I escaped with the win(barely). If all of our games turn out half as decent as this one, this should make for a great divisional rivalry between Snoop a Loop and I. Bring your green hat.

    UNLV Moves to 3-5 (3-2)

    Up Next: Home vs the Eastern Michigan Irish-N's.

    You need to switch from alcohol to painkillers before games, I had 5 picks against Fever and dropped 52 on him. I plan on getting really fucked up before my game with Crumb today to test this theory

    I already take a ton of painkillers, I just use the alcohol to wash them down.
