Congrats on getting the coveted Center. How the heck did you lock me out thnough? I were neck and neck last week? Even with a good visit I'm surprised I got that far behind.

Thanks man, I really needed him. We were definitely still close, I think it was only like 5 points maybe. Not sure about the locking out thing, just happy he signed. I had the same max points on him and hit all the goals for his visit but didn't do anything else differently.

OFFENSE FIRES ON ALL CYLINDERS IN BUCKEYES WIN

The Ohio State coaching staff used the bye week to fine tune the passing attack, and the extra work in practice paid dividends in the game as quarterback JT Barrett completed 19-of-27 passes for 276 yards and 5 touchdowns. The sophomore quarterback, who has struggled at times this year, sprayed the ball all over the field finding eight different receivers in what was the best performance by the OSU passing attack all season.

The OSU defense, which was considered to be the top group in the nation heading into the season, once again struggled, allowing more than 450 yards of total offense and 35 points to a surprisingly high-powered Rutgers attack. Part of the defenses struggles, however, could be attributed to being on the field for the majority of the game, as OSU scored its points quickly and even had a kick return for a touchdown, courtesy of Dontre Wilson.

The Buckeyes' offense will only become more potent next week as junior running back Ezekiel Elliot returns to the field. Elliot was by far the best looking back for Ohio State in the opener, rushing for 130 yards on 10 carries in the first half against South Carolina before breaking his collarbone. With him back on the field, the OSU attack could reach new heights, which bodes well for a team about to hit the tough part of its schedule, with games against Michigan State, Penn State and Michigan looming.
