    #23 Utah State Demoralizes #24 UTEP, 56-13

UTEP scored with 2:48 in the 1st quarter to take a 6-0 lead, but all the momentum went out the door when the extra point missed wide right. Utah State answered right back with a 19 yard TD run by Billy McClain. USU would then proceed to knock out the already 2nd string QB for the season, and FS Hampton took advantage with a pick-6 on the third stringer. Utah State would go on to score 49 unanswered points as the UTEP offense struggled with a 3rd string QB and the USU offense rolled along. Most importantly, the Aggies walked away with no injuries as they head into a conference match at struggling UL Lafayete. Tyrone Coleman managed the offense going 8-14 with 186 yards, 2 TDs, and 1 pick. McClain and Robinson ran for 69 and 78 yards respectively with 2 TDs each.

    Predictions:
    WMU over Idaho
UAB upsetting ULL - JKyle has shown he can sneak up on people.
Arky St over Kent - I'd love to be in the party when these rivals face off.

    and finally

    EMU over Mid Tenn!

This was week 8, but I'm posting it here.

    Kent State @ UL Lafayette

There was no doubt that this cross-divisional matchup would be a big one for both teams. Kent State looked to remain ranked and stay in the race for the East crown while ULaLa looked to recover from the nightmare that was supposed to be its dream season.

Early on the Golden Flashes came out and hit ULaLa in the mouth. ULaLa's first two drives ended in an interception and a punt as Kent St cashed in on both and a 14-0 lead. The teams would trade scores to make it 21-7. (Then my retarded ass roommate and her dipshit boyfriend decided to come home and pull up chairs right next to me and try to talk to me about shit, very distracting and my irritation with them led to sloppy play.)

And that's when the Rajin Cajuns made their run as they would score 21 straight for a 28-21 lead early in the 3rd quarter. (They finally left me alone and I yanked my mic out to eliminate distractions)

The Golden Flashes would then buckle down. Freshman QB Kevin Davidson would hit WR Juan Kent for a big 56 yard touchdown pass and after a stop on defense, Kent would drive down and punch in another one to reclaim the lead, 35-28. After ULaLa tied it up, Kent would drive down for the winning score as The Big O, Oscar Robinson would punch it in from 3 yards out with 15 seconds to play.

All in all, very evenly matched game. Both teams had 1 turnover as ULaLa had the early interception and when I was up 21-14, my RB broke off a 30 yard run before being caught from behind and stripped. That was irritating.

    Stars of this one...

Freshman QB Kevin Davidson 20-29 for 378 and 2 TDs
Freshman RB Eric Archer 20 carries for 112 yds and 2 TDs

    Oh and P.S.....

    EAST!!!!

Was he on the injured list going into our game? As in, listed as doubtful and you played him anyway?
