Bengals started off with the ball, getting to around the 10yd line on some big 3rd down conversions, including a challenged play that was reversed from 4th and 1, to 1st and 10. QB Palmer hit RB Scott on a 9yd pass for the first score of the game. In the 2nd, the Niners put together a solid drive, ending in a 10yd TD pass to TE Davis. Cincy put up two FGs in the quarter to go up 13-7 at the half.

Frisco received to open the 3rd, and drove down the field with RB Gore capping off the drive with a 3yd TD run. SF's defense stepped up in the 3rd and 4th, forcing numerous punts from the Bengals deep in their own territory. The final quarter saw a 7yd TD run by Gore and two K Nedney FG's. The Bengals were able to score with about 30 seconds left and no timeouts, but it was too late. Final score 27-21 Niners, gg.
