The heavily favored Eagles traveled to Seattle for a NFC showdown featuring 2 teams fighting to stay alive in playoff race.

The game started of great for the Seahawks as they got to an early 14-0 lead made possible by 3 1st half interceptions of Kevin Kolb. By the end of the the half though the Eagle offense would settle in and kick a FG as time expired to make score at half 14-3.

In the 2nd half the Eagle's momentum continued as they poured in 2 3rd quarter Tds and a FG. Their top 5 defense had also put the clamps down on the normally very effective Seahawks running game. By the end of the 3rd quarter the Eagles had gained the lead and were ahead 20-14.

4th quarter saw the Seahawks offense wake up but not much. Rookie QB Jamarcus Austin who had been carrying the team with his effective scrambling, converted a big 3rd down with his legs then threw a TD pass to Deon Butler to put the Seahawks ahead 21-20.

After forcing a punt on Eagles next drive, Seahawks got the ball and proceeded to methodically move ball down field, but were stopped in Eagles territory. Olindo Mare attempted a long fg that was inches from increasing the lead to 4. Instead, Eagles get ball with about 1:30 on clock and 3 timeouts in their pocket. They promptly move down field and setup for an would have been an easy 20-30 yard game winning FG but the rookie kicker missed it wide right. Seahawks win 21-20.
