It was a division game for both teams which always leads to a tough physical game, this game was no different. The Jets made it a point early on to run the ball therefore controlling the game on the ground with LT racking up 130 yards on the ground to go along with 2 TD's. For the first 3 quarters the Jets defense looked like the best in the league as Rex Ryan claims holding Fred Jackson to only 25 yards rushing on 19 attempts.

    the 4th
Entering the 4th quarter this game looked all but over with the Jets dominating both sides of the ball and up 21-3. However Ryan Fitzpatrick showed why many believe he is close to becoming an elite quarterback in this league. Marching the Bills down the field on their first possession of the quarter to put the Bills behind 21-10. The bills defense stepped up tremendously and their D-line completely dominated the line at the point of attack to force the Jets on 2 consecutive 3 and outs.

The Jets had no answer for Fitzpatrick and the Bills as they once again marched down the field and eventually took the lead 24-21 with a little over a minute left in the game. As Sanchez tried to get the Jets down the field to set them up for a potential game tying field goal he threw the ball right into the hands of the Bills linebacker after staring down his receiver. This play gave the Bills the ball with 50 seconds left on the Jets 25 yard line.

With the game pretty much over at this point the Bills tried to run the clock out, however on the first play of that possession Fred Jackson was absolutely destroyed by Calvin Pace resulting in a Jets fumble recovery on their own 30 with 46 seconds left on the clock.

With 1 timeout left The Sanchize showed why he is slowly becoming one of the more clutch QBs in the league finding his TE Keller (8 reps, 102 yds) for a 25 yard slant route and quickly spiking the ball at midfield w/ 20 secs left on the clock and no timeouts. On the next possession he went to his go to receiver and found Santonio (104 yds) wide open on a post which left them set up for a 37 yd field goal sending them into overtime as time expired.

    OT

After winning the coin flip the Bills received the ball, however a rejuvenated Jets defense was able to force a quick 3 and out after stopping FJax behind the line of scrimmage and putting them in a 3rd and long situation.

After a great punt return by the Jets X-factor Antonio Cromartie, the jets were set up at about midfield. Sanchez again went to his playmakers hitting Keller on a 20 yd reception which at the moment would have put them in FG range. With the new overtime rules and Fitzpatrick on the sideline the Jets knew they had to go for the game winning touchdown... Once again Sanchez looked for his closer Holmes and hit him with a 30 yard pass on a post route between three defenders. Tone was able to hold on the the ball while getting blown up by the Bills safety and crossed the plane for the game winning touchdown.
