    Welcome to Week 9

Week 9 is a hectic time in college football. BCS Rankings are out, its half way through the season, and every game is played like a playoff game from this point on. Those hard losses felt by teams earlier on in the season wont be recoverable if suffered now. The pressure is on as teams battle it out for supremacy in their conferences and ultimately a BCS Championship.

    th.jpeg #1 - #1 Ohio State Buckeyes - (6-0)
The Buckeyes are still #1 in our rankings and with just cause. They have dominated every opponent they have faced this season, minus a week 7 game verses Notre Dame when they edged out a 21-14 victory. Ezekiel Elliot has been running hard and is currently tied for 1st in rushing td's this season with 13 and third in rushing. The Buckeyes host Penn St this week and then its on the road to face a struggling USC squad that would love nothing more than to knock off the best team in the land. Still a long road for the Buckeyes to repeat perfection, but so far so good.
    th-4.jpeg #2 - #9 Notre Dame Fighting Irish - (6-1)
Notre Dame is a team a lot of people are glad to see at this spot. They have played incredibly well for having one of the tougher schedules in the first half of the season. Beating Michigan St., Penn St., Wisconsin, and USC has been impressive. Their only loss has come to #1 Ohio St. QB has been a nightmare for them this season. For a team that has turned the ball over as much as they have, their record is truly a testament of how well they have been coached. A road game win against the Ducks and a loss or two from OSU could catapult the Irish to another championship appearance.
    th-2.jpeg #3 - #2 Oregon Ducks - (7-0)
Oregon has high hopes for a national championship. Still sour from losing to OSU in last years championship game this team is poised to have repeat success this season. Royce Freeman, the sophomore RB, has been running the ball like a true Heisman candidate. Oregon's defense has been playing lights out as well. Mainly due to their senior MLB, Rodney Hardrick and DeForest Buckner who has 9 sacks. The Ducks have one of the hardest roads this last half of the season. Playing Penn St., Ohio St., and ND. Back, to back, to back challenges for the Mighty Ducks. Oregon fans are optimistic, but also on edge. Hoping that their team wont lose, "the big one", like its shown in the past.

    th-10.jpeg #4 - #6 Florida Gators - (7-0)
Florida has played lights out this season, despite a one point win last week to Georgia Tech on the road. Offensively this Gators team has done just enough to win games, but it isnt their offense you need to be worried about. Their defense has recorded 21 turnovers this season, 18 of which have been interceptions. Leading playmaker and turnover making machine, Quincy Wilson, has 6 int's so far this season. When your team averages 3 turnovers a game you dont have to worry much about offensive efficiency. This team is good enough, atleast defensively, to make a run for a national championship. The Gators meet Georgia in Jacksonville next week for the World's largest outdoor cocktail party. If they can beat their hated rivals, all that will stand in their way is FSU.

    th-8.jpeg #5 - #4 Florida St. Seminoles - (6-0)
Florida St. is just one of those programs that has been fun to watch ever since their program was revived by a certain crab leg stealing QB. They havent disappointed yet this season, but they havent really been tested. Offensively they have been efficient, but that wont be enough to win the Orange in the SEC. Georgia, Florida, and Miami are just three tough programs they have yet to face. Two of which are on the road. Can the Seminoles win the division and the State of Florida? We will find out soon enough.
    th-6.jpeg #6 - #10 Georgia Bulldogs - (6-1)
A week one devastating loss to Clemson had this team really wondering if they would even make a bowl game this season, let alone compete for the conference. Seven weeks later its all water under the bridge. The Dawgs have been good, not great, but good. Beating Miami was a step in the right direction for the program. Now they have to continue to prove themselves. Especially next week, facing arch rival Florida in Jacksonville. Georgia has a RB, QB, and two WR's in the top ten of there respected categories, statistically. Still a long and winding road before Athens has anything to really cheer about, but beating Florida next week would make the season for the Dawgs.

    Stay tuned for #7-11

    th-9.jpeg #7 - #20 Miami Hurricanes - (5-3)
Five weeks ago Miami would probably have been last in rankings. They were 1-2 to start the season with key losses to Florida and Georgia. Their hopes of competing in the Orange looked to be over before it even started. What transpired in the weeks to follow was nothing less than impressive. Wins over Clemson and Georgia Tech have allowed this team to dream once more. Soph QB, Brad Kaaya, leads the nation in passing. That alone has been something for Canes fans to cheer about. They have some tough games to follow in the second half of their season like Auburn and FSU, but getting Florida St. at home helps a lot. We'll know where this team stands at the end of the season.

    th-1.jpeg #8 - Penn St. Nittany Lions - (4-2)
Penn St. has played about as well as you would have expected them too. They have one of the better QB's in the country who has helped them compete. This team is holding themselves back. They have struggled on both sides of the ball due to being to conservative. Blowout losses to USC and ND have kept them out of the rankings. They can change their fate this week at The Shoe. A win against #1 OSU would catapult them into the rankings, but a loss will more than likely signify just how poorly this season has gone for the Nittany Lions.

    th-3.jpeg th-5.jpeg # 9 T - #23 USC Trojans - (3-3) and #14 Michigan St. Spartans - (3-3)
For the first time ever in power rankings there has been a tie for a placing. The reason is this is just to hard to determine. Both of these teams have lost key games. While still ranked, many would argue that neither of these teams deserve to be ranked. Very surprising since both have senior QB's who are predicted to be early round picks in the 2016 NFL draft. You could give Michigan St. the nod ahead of USC because they beat the Trojans in week 5, but because of certain circumstances the Trojans, as of the last 2 weeks, cant be fairly judged. You also cant dismiss the 50 point loss Sparty suffered to Oregon at home. Its really a crap shoot at #9.

    Last but not least......

    th-7.jpeg #10 - #24 Clemson Tigers (4-3)
Oh how the mighty have fallen. Six weeks ago this team was thought to rival the likes of Oregon, Florida, ND, and Ohio St. for a National Championship. Now they look like a team that has completely lost it. An easier second half of the season should allow them to bounce back and make a bowl game. An absolute disappointment of a season so far for the Tigers. What else can be said? They are dead last as of now.

I'm guessing he's looking at your schedule so far. You have a chance to prove it in the next few weeks.
