This week the Seahawks travelled to Green Bay, Wisconsin to face the Packers in the inter-conference showdown. Both teams came in with disappointing 2-5 records and were desperate to come away with a win. Coach Bates, who last week went with Jevan Snead vs Carolina, decided to go with Jamarcus Austin this week vs the Packers.

The 1st quarter was a nightmare for the Packers. After recieving the opening kickoffs and picking up a few first downs, Aaron Rodgers threw a wobly pass after being hit that was intercepted by Josh Wilson and returned for a TD. 7-0 Seahawks

On the 1st play of the Packers next drive, Rodgers drop to pass but was sacked and stripped by Aaron Curry. Michael Johnson picked up the fumble and returned if for a TD. 14-0 Seahawks

From there, Green Bay would begin to slowly chip away at the lead. At the end of the half the score was 17-17.

In the 3rd quarter the Packers would maintain their momentum and march down field looking to score. On a 4th and goal from inside the 1, the Packers decided to go for it. The call was a QB sneak with Rodgers, and even though it appeared he got the TD, the refs called it off. Packers would challenge the play but it was upheld. Seahawks marched down field and scored another FG.

Despite not converting on 4th down Packers still had the momentum in this game. After and early 4th quarter FG by the Seahawks, the Packers scored a TD on a pass to RB L. Focus. With about 3 minutes left on the clock, the Seahawks began methodically moving down the field using runs and short passes that ate up the clock. With 4 seconds remaining on the clock, the Seahawks kicked the game winning FG. Final score was 26-24.

Game ball goes to Olindo Mare who put up the only points for the offense in the game.
