The #21 Central Michigan Chippewas keep their streak alive as they defeat Toledo in a close 24-12 game. CMU was able to control the clock and the game preventing Toledo's powerful offense on the field. CMU used a balance attack of run and pass while trying to highlight their skilled star players to secure the win.

The Central Michigan offense was led by EVO Heisman hopeful Bryan Schroeder who rushed for 144 yards off of 27 carries with 1 TD. QB Derek Rifenbury threw for 146 yards off of 9 completions with 2 TDs. TE Charlie Hoch led in receptions with 5 for 51 yards and Senior WR Paris Cotton led in yards with 72 off of 3 receptions.

CMU's defense was led by MLB Landon Carter who had 9 tackles and 5 tackle for a loss. DE Antonio Gaylord added 5 tackles, 3 TFL, and 1 sack.

The #21 Central Michigan Chippewas will now host Northern Illinois at home before they travel to Western Michigan to face a tough Bronco team in a rivalry game.

Jeffvon Gill rushes for 159 yards and Jerry Davis throws 2 TD passes to Aron Connacher to lead the Bulls to victory. Their 6th win exceeded their coach's expectations as they look to securing a good bowl game this season.

    Louisiana Tech 31 Hawaii 27

La tech makes a huge comeback scoring 2 TD's in the final 2 minutes to pull out the 31-27 victory. Leading the charge was QB Randy Hardin as he threw for 416 yds 4 TD's and 1 INT. Cruz Williams had another big day with over 200 yds receiving and 3 TD's. Most of those coming late in the 4th quarter has he was on the receiving end of the final two TD's. La Tech Coach Drunken disappointed in his team lack of red zone production till the late 4th quarter as they were shutdown early and often with 2 missed FG;s to boot.

Louisiana Tech moves to 7-2 on the season

Nevada used its bye week to effectively focus on recruiting and resting up to continue their 7 game win streak against coach Milmont next week. :)

In his first game trolling the sidelines for the Aztecs, coach Bear Wasyliw shattered expectations... by completely falling short. TCU dismantled the Aztecs in every aspect. The pressure on Aaron Corp was neverending, when adjustments were made to quick slants and screens the receivers dropped the ball.

A new scheme will be required by coach Wasyliw. It remains unclear if his direction will make any difference in the Aztecs horrible record. despite clear instructions to make the safe tackle the SDSU defenders routinely got steamrolled. Not one positive can be taken from this debut.

In the words of coach Wasyliw...

"We couldn't pass, we couldn't run, we didn't tackle, couldn't get a first down... we couldn't do diddly pooh."

Here is hoping that the friendly confines of Qaulcomm stadium can right the ship.

    Stanford 31-28 UCLA

    Ingram Leads Stanford Past UCLA

Braylon Ingram scores 1 of his 3 touchdowns to lead Stanford

Stanford had to turn to the running game to keep UCLA's potent offense off the field and enable the Cardinal to win. Ingram carried the ball for a season-high 34 times for 196 yards. Ingram also added 95 receiving yards, earning Player of the Game honors. Evo-Heisman hopeful Andrew Luck, had a solid day, but probably saw the final nail put in his campaign's coffin completing 14 of 19 passes for 198 yards and 1 touchdown. This game alone would have been survivable, but he already missed 2 games this season due to injury.

UCLA used big plays and broken tackles to put Stanford up against the wall late. The Cardinal showed great character...More to come.
