OHIO STATE DEFEATS INDIANA 49-0....then this happens.....
No more highlights for me.
Lions Shred Spartans in Happy Valley, Win LandGrant TrophyMichigan State Had No Answer for the Nittany Lions 44 - 14 State College, PA - The Nittany Lions played host to the #24 Michigan State Spartans in the annual battle for the LandGran Trophy. The MSU defense came out on PSU's first offensive possession and played like they were not going to give up an inch the entire game. Unfortunately for the Spartans, that would be their best defensive drive. Penn State would go on to dominate this football game in absolutely true Big10 fashion. Pounding the rock and playing extremely tough defense. The Nittany Lions offense combined to total 145 yards on the ground, 82 of which came from HB Silas Redd. Those 145 yards may not seem like much when you tally up a total of 48 attempts, but due to PSU having such great field position for their drives, converting on efficient runs took the ball out of the MSU offenses hand and ripped the clock. QB Paul Jones also had one of his better games on the season. He was an efficient 11 for 16 for 197 YDs with 1 TD and an INT. The PSU Defense was where this game was won. The Michigan State Spartans were unable to convert a single 3rd down attempt, on 7 tries. They also forced two interceptions, one by LB Glenn Carson and the other by S Keiser. HB La'Veon Bell did have a fabulous game on the ground going 215 yards and a TD on 13 attempts, but the majority of those yards came on 2 big runs, including a 64 yard TD in the first quarter. After that, Michigan State would not score again until the final minute of the 4th quarter. Penn State goes on to win an extremely important game after dropping a heartbreaker to Ohio State last week. Next week, the Lions travel to Indiana to take on the Hoosiers in a game that will help decide their bowl future.
MID 90'S FORM If Only For A Game, UT Reclaims Old Glory In Carolina Thrashing Hopefully, Bray only uses this grip for a football. A 28-3 stomping of South Carolina has Vol Nation dreaming again. QB Tyler Bray was phenomenal. 12-13 for 233 yards and 3 TD's to 3 different targets once again made up for a less than stellar ground game. It took a whopping 37 carries for Tennessee to amass 119 yards on the ground. The commitment to "pounding the rock" forced the Gamecock D to get put of their heels in the passing game though. That and the odd decidion to put 5 defenders on TE Plumlee (See Pic Below). Interesting D by the Gamecocks. Apparently they thought Plumlee was the focal part of the offense. The Vol Defense was stellar again only allowing 189 yards of total offense. MLB Curt Maggitt was a disruptive force accounting for 3 of Tennessee's 7 sacks. Tennessee moved into the rankings this week at #24 at looks to continue their march up the polls against the visiting Miss St Bulldogs and coach HackGolfer next week. Hopefully, he won't bail at the last minute and leave his Bulldogs at the Vols' mercy this year.
Pitt Wins #6 After getting beat by Miami last year Pitt wanted revenge. Miami would get the first score on a int for TD. Coach Krobot said "I still think the was a incomplete pass." Pitt would respond back in the second quarter with a 6 yard run by Bennett. Later in the quarter Miami would get up by 14 off a TD run by Crawford and a 22 yard pass to Walford. Pitt would manage to get a 57 yard TD pass to Street before half but they left to much time on the clock as Miami would drive down the field and pick up a FG before half. The score a halftime 24-14 Miami. The Panthers would capitalize off a short field because of a fumble and pick up 6 on another run by Bennett. Miami would get a FG to extend their lead to 6. The Panther would roar back to take the lead and the game on a 1 yard run by Davis.

INT or Incomplete?
I had a very similar play like that happen to me last season. It got called an INT as well, although it looks incomplete to me.
Pulling the Plug Clemson's defense leads them to a 31-0 victory against Maryland. DEATH VALLEY- The Clemson Tigers get their revenge against The Maryland Terrapins in convincing fashion with a 31-0 win. The game was a defensive battle as neither team could muster up enough offense to get points on the board. The Tigers did manage to get something going late in the first quarter, but the drive stalled and yielded the only points of the first half. The second half; particularly the third quarter, saw Clemson come alive on both offense and defense. After a three and out on Maryland's first drive, The Tigers and HB Mike Bellamy made quick work of the drive. Bellamy would take the handoff, avoid a couple of would be tacklers and race to the endzone for an 82 yard scamper that put Clemson up 10-0. Clemson would get 2 more scores in the quarter to blow the game wide open. The Tigers would get another score from the defense in the final minutes of the contest, but the damage had already been done. The win gives The Tigers a 6-2(5-1) record with just three games remaining. For Clemson to have a chance to return to the ACC Title game, they are in a must win situation against the Florida State Seminoles in Tallahassee next week.
