    Game Summary
After a pure whipping from Troy the Falcons went back to practice hard this week and it showed.Still with many miscues the Falcons turned the ball over less which aloud them to put the defense in some nice spots to play field position.Still with almost a perfect performance the Falcons needed a 2 point conversion late in the 3rd to tie the game.A strong game by Aaron Pankratz lead the Falcons to a one point victory. He was accurate at times and pathetic in others but when it was on the line he came threw. With some nice grabs the receivers came threw as well.Which was a huge upgrade from all the drops from last week. But this game was decided by the defense who didn't get one turnover managed to contain Tulsa'a no huddle offense.Back to the drawing board cause the WAC is tough and the Falcons are not assured even 2 or 3 more wins this year.

    Temple vs CMU

OWLS CAPITALIZE ON SECOND CHANCE, BEAT CMU 24-10

*This game was a restart after my connection failed. BDawg was leading 7-3 midway through the 3rd at the time so take the Owl win FWIW.*

MAC Conference action kicked off in Pittsburgh with the Temple Owls defeating Central Michigan 24-10. The Temple D came up with 4 picks that really kept CMU from gaining any momentum.

The first qtr was a 0-0 deadlock with neither team being able to sustain drives or garner any advantage in field position. CMU would get on the board first with a 37yd R. Hogan FG to begin the 2nd qtr. The next 8-10 minutes were all Temple as the Owls finished off a nice drive with a 2yd TD run by QB V. Charlton. About 3 minutes later, Temple RB and playmaker B. Pierce found the endzone on a 12yd TD run out of a draw play.

With only 40 seconds left in the half, CMU couldn't tack on any points and went into the break down 14-3.

Needing a big play the CMU D gambled on a sweep to Pierce only to realize Charlton still had the ball and was racing for the endzone. Charlton not known for his speed, agility, trucking, good looks or any other distinguishing characteristic, somehow shrugs off a couple CMU defenders and keeps trucking downfield. (The highlight only picks up after he had broke free and shows some questionable tackling technique. It is not in slow motion.)

This stretched the Temple lead to 21-3 and forced the Chippewas to abandon their previously successful run game. With CMU forced to go to the air, Temple started dropping men back in coverage and mixing up their mans and zones. Coupled with som nice pressure from its 3 and 4 man rushes, Temple was able to force some INT's. CMU would finally get a 21yd TD catch from J. Harris in the back of the endzone with under 4 to play. Not quite enough time though as Temple was able to milk the clock and even add a 27yd FG to get the kead back to 14.

Players of the Game were: Soph RB Pierce, 19 car, 93 yds, 1 TD and QB V. Charlton 5-9, 58 yds, 1TD, 7 car, 89 yds, 1 TD.

Temple moves to 2-0 (1-0) on the year with a UCONN coming to town week 3.
