WEEK 9 GAME OF THE WEEK

For the second week in a row, Big John and his Philadelphia Eagles find themselves in the Game of the Week. This is the first meeting of the season between the heated rivals and should provide an intense, entertaining game.

    Last Week

The Cowboys suffered their first defeat of the season, losing in overtime to the the Falcons in Atlanta. The Dallas defense was not able to contain the Falcons' rushing attack and gave up a season-high 155 yards to Michael Turner.

New Orleans was riding the highs from a four game win streak as they hosted the Eagles last week. However, the Philly buzzsaw ripped through New Orleans and stunned the Superdome crowd with a 34-7 win.

    Keys to the Game

Tony Romo has been very good this year compiling a 114.8 QB rating while throwing just five interceptions. He seems to have put much of his turnovers issues behind him and has the Cowboys in position to win their division for the first time since 2009. A late INT hurt the Cowboys last week, though, so this will be a big game for Romo going forward.
Michael Vick responded last week with a perfect 158.3 QB rating against the Saints. However, his season has been up and down and his 51% completion percentage is cause for concern. Which Vick shows up against the Cowboys will tell the tale of the game.

    What to Watch

Defense - Dallas leads the NFL with a staggering 12.4 points allowed per game. The Eagles rank seventh at 20.4. Points will be a t a premium in this game and the first to 17 could very easily come out as the victor.

    Line

    Eagles -1 O/U 46

    Prediction

The Eagles are on a roll lately and Dallas is coming off of it's first loss of the season. Is the Cowboy's loss an indictment of their team overall or will they use that as motivation against their division rival? Either way, this game looks to be a nail biter and a defensive struggle. The Eagles come out on top with a narrow 17-13 win.
