    Season History
The Utah Jazz and OKC Thunder split the season series in 2013 with the home team winning each game. Much like Utah's first round matchup, the Thunder were a trade partner with the Jazz where Devin Harris and Jason Terry were sent to OKC in exchange for Daequon Cook, Cole Aldrich, and Thabo Sefolosha. Thabo has paid huge dividends for the Jazz locking down the opposition's best player. Devin Harris is having a hard time getting off the bench for the Thunder so far this postseason while Jason Terry is averaging just over 8 points a game. The difference in the games between these two has been whoever won the battle of weakness. Is the Jazz backcourt can get going they have won. If the Thunder's frontcourt gets going outside of KD, the Thunder win and its normally not even close.
    Matchups to Watch
    Serge Ibaka vs Paul Millsap
Millsap is featuring again for the Jazz in the matchup to watch as he goes up against another athletic power forward who is more than willing to send a souvenir into the stand if his opponent comes weak to the hole. Josh Smith caused Millsap fits in the first round, but Serge is not built like Josh is. Josh is a wide load that is tough to get around with the foot-speed to keep up. Serge is a lean bodied 4 man who has been known to have trouble with back to the basket opponents. If Millsap can get his post up game working he should get the upper hand. Serge has to control where the big man from Louisiana Tech catches the ball if he wants to have any chance shutting down Millsap.
    Kevin Durant vs Thabo Sefolosha
Former teammates square off against each other in a matchup that is sure to be explosive. Thabo has the size and speed to keep up with Durant, but that still doesn't stop KD from shooting over his opponents. Thabo has to KD from every getting the ball and that is hard to do as the Thunder will be throwing screen after screen at Thabo. While Thabo Sefolosha is on the floor Kevin Durant won't have to work very hard and may even be able to cheat over and help his teammates on the defensive side of the ball. If Thabo does get going on offense it will help spread the floor, but KD can be an excellent defender. Thabo shouldn't get his hopes up when it comes to scoring.
    X Factor
Richard Jefferson. Richard Jefferson has excelled in the 6th Man role for the Jazz, but his defensive liability could come up huge here. When he is on the floor, if he can just contain Durant it will help the Jazz immensely. At 32 RJ can still flat out score when he wants to. The downside of 32 is it makes him that much more challenged when it comes to stopping young bucks like Durant. The more RJ is on the floor the better the Jazz are. Unfortunately I don't see RJ slowing down Durant at all heavily limiting his time on the floor.
This OKC team is STACKED. They can flat out score the ball. Now if they can just guard, they should actually get through the Jazz with relative ease. The Jazz are tough to predict however. They can look like the 6 seed that they are, or come out of nowhere and play like the best team in the NBA. In a 7 game series against a top flight team consistency is a must. We just don't see that consistency in the Jazz. OKC rolls in 5.
