Wow I really have to pat myself on the back for the resurrection job I did with USF.

    God I'm Good

The 2012 draft order should go in reverse order of overall selected last season. Its the only equitable solution.

Yeah Clearly USF and Illinois were in the shitter. Purdue was not that much better. UCLA had the 4 stars which allowed them to recruit nicely year 1 and 2.

I took the high road and chose not to seek a built in advantage over my fellow coaches.

Yea the ever awesome four stars...just what we all strive for in recruiting. An 80 overall team compared to your 93 overall team....laughable man...You might fool the fucks in the league office, but you don't fool Jesus. This bush league psyche-out stuff. Laughable, man - ha ha! ...

lol... JMS you had the best team and situation with an unstoppable player who BTW you decided to not cheese us with which shows your character. You had the #1 pick. You don't need to defend it to me.

He's a mean, mean man JMS.

In his defense I think in some ways you may have been barking up the wrong tree (or whomever did) insinuating that he had some fantastic situation.... I think he IS very cagey about figuring out a team that will work well for him.... For instance finding a team with good ratings that don't improve or move (much) in recruiting pitches... Academic Prestige, Campus Lifestyle, Tradition, and it was also a team he really likes. Bottom line is in Rusty's defense the thing he never gets is credit for being really good at the recruiting side. He plays it off like "oh I don't know how to post pictures on the forums, can somebody please help me?"

"Can you guys help me tie my shoes?"

"Can somebody help me find my peener I have to go peepee!"

Meanwhile he's got recruiting down to a science before the rest of us have even figured out which playbook we like. Give him some credit for once and you'll feel better.... I promise!

I would like to say that we had a pretty damn good starting point for a team with explosive young ball carriers and a good (albeit one year) QB. We had a ways to go in terms of the recruiting pitches though, as everything was C+ to B that really mattered... Cal to me is very impressive in what he did.

All I was saying is that compared to USF, Illinois, and Purdue he had a leg up on Recruiting vs those schools because he was 4 stars.

Yes we all know he is a god at recruiting and always was but we don't give him credit b/c he WHINES about his average classes.

yeah you have John Gay, the equilvalent to Bo Jackson redux, mf'er.

92 ovr, lmao...4-star nearly a 5-star because they had the best year coming into this game out of the teams we picked.

Stanford and bly was irrelevant, we knew he wouldn't do much ;)

Same with Ryno, he needed a top team and Pitt wasn't a top team in that sense, they had high ovr, and players he could win ASAP, much like...yours JMS :)

Washington's team was OVER-RATED coming into this season...but that's what happens when you have Locker, some decent RB's and cal to pick from.
