SatansAngel1104 Vacations and software engineering: The amount of work doesn't change, just the amount of time you have to get it done. At least in my experience.
I'm currently dynasty-less and scrolling through other leagues. Reading through this made me miss playing with you guys.
I spent 8 years in public accounting before leaving for a consulting firm. Great way to get experience but say goodbye to your life if you work in that industry.
Baby Jayrah has been born! At 5:55 pst had a beautiful baby boy! I'll get a picture up asap! Mommy and Braxtyn Lee are both doing really well.
You still play the same stuff? I'm probably the only person my age who still listens to that. Was wondering if your style was similar to Whitey Morgan, since I see you're from Detroit.
The Haggards are actually on hiatus. The singer/songwriter/rhythm guitarist is my best friend from childhood so we plan to get it going again eventually, but he just had his second child, and is stupid busy right now. We are both Whitey fans but the Haggards were closer to Social Distortion, just a little countrified. I just started a new band, doing 70's style punk. Iggy and the Stooges, Ramones, NY Dolls type stuff.
Hey, guys. I'm very excited to be here and live for my online leagues. I'm 38 years old and live in Gilbert, AZ. I've been married for almost a decade and am a father of five (yeah, that's right: 5!) kids. My 17 year old son plays club basketball, my 13 year old daughter plays club volleyball, my 7 and 6 year old daughters play soccer, and my toddler son is always throwing and kicking balls at me, so we know how that's going to end up. What does that all mean? I have to work overtime to pay all of my kids' sports bills, but it's all good. I've been a firefighter/paramedic for about 12 years and love my job. Of course, please keep that in mind if there's any trouble scheduling user games against me. We work 24-hour shifts and, of course, when I work OT or shift trades, I could be gone for a couple of days straight. It doesn't happen very often though, so don't worry; I will make sure not to do any extra work if it will interfere with a user matchup. I went to U of Arizona, so I'm a die hard Wildcat. Yeah, that means I've had to be primarily a college basketball fan, but I do love the football team (and baseball team) too; maybe I'm a glutton for punishment. BEAR DOWN!! So as you can see, I'm pretty busy, but my sports teams (I'm in the TSO OOTP league The Dugout as well) are my release. It drives my wife crazy, which might be a reason I love it so much. My kids with Homer and Marge.
Ken Welsch What shift do you work? Do you guys work the 4's and 6's schedule? I work for the San Bernardino County Fire...not a fireman but I'm familiar with their schedules.
Right now, we work a 3-4 schedule (every other day for 3 shifts, then off for 4 days in a row). However, I'm on the committee studying the 48-96 schedule, which would quite simply be awesome, though might make things a little harder in this league. We will see, nothing imminent yet.
