this is looking like a really tight race and i'll be following the action over the final few week. I've heard some of you say the table isn't up to date, but going off what's there... it's tough, but I'm gonna say West Ham
First off, I am 10-4-3, I had a win against Corinthians this week as well that you forgot to include. Also, I think I have 4 games left? I have to play Marseille as well. I have 3 games against the bottom of the table. As long as I win those, I think itll come down to my game vs Udinese.
You are incorrect; your (and mine and Hokie's) win against Feyenoord was wiped off the board, leaving you 9-4-3 with four games left to play. Marseille does belong in your list of teams to play though.
Yes, the table has not been updated to wipe Feyenoord's games off. It also hasn't been updated with any games played in the past week or so. The one WingedHelmet put together is accurate, as far as I can tell.
There are always surprises, but based on expected results you would assume: Udinese to beat Hamburg and PSV to get to 41 points with Aston Villa and Cagliari as toss ups to reach 47 maximum points West Ham to beat Hamburg and PSV to get to 40 points with Cagliari as a toss up to reach 43 maximum points Aston Villa to beat Stuttgart and Marseille to get to 37 points with Udinese and M'Gladbach as a toss up to reach 43 maximum points Cagliari to beat Norwich, Marseille, and PSV to get to 38 points with Aston Villa and West Ham as a toss up to reach 44 maximum points If Udinese beats who they're supposed to beat, a victory over Cagliari will basically clinch the Serie B title. Cagliari control their own destiny as well; win out and the worst the Italians will finish is a tie for first Aston Villa and West Ham are in the same boat; hoping for dropped points from the two Italian sides against weaker competition
My predictions: Udinese beat Hamburg, PSV, and Aston Villa, and tie Cagliari to win the title with 44 points. West Ham beat Hamburg and PSV, and tie Cagliari to reach 41 points Aston Villa beat Stuttgart, M'Gladbach and Marseille but lose to Udinese to finish with 41 points Cagliari beat Norwich, Marseille, and PSV, and tie West Ham and Udinese to finish with 40 points, a single point out of the Serie A playoffs.
FWIW, the last time I played HokieNYC I was totally dominated for 75 minutes and down 2-0. Then some miraculous FIFA gods gave me three goals in the final 15 minutes to win. If I can earn a draw against him, I will certainly take it.
It would be really nice to have those two games against Selvy9 back right now. He gave me my two worst butt-kickings on the same night, in an hour's time.
Well that's one toss up that didn't go Aston Villa's way. And a red card on top of that... eek. This is going to be a wild final week.
The Aston Villa loss to M'Gladbach effectively removes them from the championship picture; they could still promote via the playoff.
If memory serves, I think out of the 4 or 5 games that haven't been added yet, I have 3 or 4 wins... Obviously not enough to win Serie B, but I'm interested to see where I stand in the playoff picture.
An Aston Villa win over Udinese and a win-out by Cagliari and there will likely be a tie for first place. Big result for Cagliari last night.
Does anybody have the updated table? That game was beyond frustrating. Di Natale had so many chances and got stonewalled... ugh.
