Post em up. What players are headed to FA whos staying for the money
Leon Hall will be a FA at Age 31 he still brings 87 speed to the table. He just wanted to much money.
Also will be Sanu Jones the WR tandom who could get nothing done.
And some scrubs who IDC about.
Resigned was key starters Terrance Brooks. KR Easley.
rolb bruce irven wants a ton of money. More than I'm willing to spend on an OLB in a season where I gave extensions to Wilson, Lynch, Wagner and Mebane
Roll the Blount.
HB 81OVR Blount refused negotiations. Also, CB Gay and CB Taylor both left, because they were not fast enough to catch the lunch cart.
FS barry church 86 Ovr refused negotiations and I can't afford his tag hit.
LT Riley Rieff - 6 yrs, $41 mil - Has become one of the league's premiere bookend LTs, locked up to protect Stafford's blindside for the league's duration.
LOLB DeAndre Levy - Quality starter and still only 29, the Lions are letting him walk for cap reasons only. He was hurt for the entire playoffs and young backup Kyle van Noy filled in admirably, making Levy expendable.
CB Adam Jones - Team's top CB the past two seasons, contributed multiple game-turning INTs.
CB Chris Houston - Starting CB in 2014, & played a crucial role as nickel CB last season including a game-saving INT in the Super Bowl win. This means Lions are losing 2 of their top 3 CBs.
HB Reggie Bush - Reduced to a marginal role on passing 3rd downs last season as his physical skills were depleted, the Lions are expected to release Bush shortly after the upcoming draft.
HB Joique Bell - While still uncertain, rumors are also swirling that Bell could also be released after the draft to free up cap room. Bell recently played a large role in Detroit's postseason run.
TE Joseph Fauria - While they'd like to keep this talented young TE, he is unlikely to be resigned as his rookie contract just ended.
C Kyle Cook, OG Ronald Leary, RT Tyson Clabo - Offensive linemen signed for depth on 1-year deals, none are expected to return.
CB Bill Bentley - Quality backup but buried in the CB depth chart last season.
FS Khalid Wooten - After 2 seasons with the Lions, Lions management may consider resigning him during free agency.
QB Scott Tolzien - Another backup the Lions do not expect back.
DE Larry English - Solid backup DE that helped plug some holes created by injuries in the playoffs, but he won't be resigned.
Big moves in Patriots camp
The following players have been cut to free up cap space:
DT Vince Wolfork 88OVR
HB Shane Vereen 83OVR
WR Brandon LaFell 81OVR
CB Arrington 78OVR
the following players were not resigned
LE Chandler Jones 93OVR
C Eric Wendell 83OVR
A slew of mid to low 70s players were not resigned
LE Nikovich 77OVR retired? He isn't on my roster anymore
Had to make some tough decisions, but now have some cap room to work with
Yes, he retired. I saw it on the transactions roster. =(
Broncos resigned some key players earlier in the year those names include...
Demaryius Thomas 96 OVR WR
Danny Trevathan 88 OVR OLB
Manny Ramirez(the other one) 86 OVR Center
And now those who wanted more money than the Broncos were willing to give them...
Matt Prater 91 OVR K, best leg in the game but the front office isn't willing to give a kicker 4+ million a year
Alfonzo Dennard 82 OVR CB, pretty good stats across the board but a little slow for a CB (87)
Chris Clark 79 OVR RT
We've also released and resigned some depth players.
Lots of free agents this season:
CB Jabari Greer
FS Charles Woodson
LOLB Antwan Barnes
HB Chris Johnson
RG Richie Incognito
SS Antonio Allen
LG Justin Blalock
CB Ellis Lankster
LOLB Victor Butler
CB Kyle Wilson
FS Jaiquawn Jarrett
LE Leger Douzable
LG Rob Sims
No one liked my offers. Gonna have loooooottttssss of holes to fill this offseason.
The Browns have decided to part ways with the following players...
HB Ben Tate - Tate has been unable to produce for the Browns in his two seasons here, averaging less than 3 yards per carry in both seasons. Tate was quickly replaced by West in the middle of season 1 and never made his way back up the depth chart. He accounted for 0 TDs in 2014, but did however to manage to sneak in 5 TDs in 2015 after 73 attempts but his longest gain was 6 yards. The Browns will turn to Crowell to step up and carry the Browns rushing attack splitting carries with regressing Terrance West.
LE John Hughes - The Browns have decided to let Hughes walk, and keep Taylor at the LE position.
RE Billy Winn - Having aging Desmond Bryant locked in a deal for the next two years, the Browns have decided to split ways with Winn and allow Bryant to take control of the RE position that he's been playing at for the last two years.
TE Gary Barnidge - Barnidge has declined Cleveland's offer to stay another year, the Browns hate to see him go but hope that Dray can fill the role for the next year. Cameron has had his injury problems over the last couple of years, but hopefully he can stay healthy enough until the Browns can find a suitable backup.
Other Noteable Mentions: CB B.Skrine, LOLB E.Martin, SS J.Bademosi, WR M.Wilson, C N.McDonald, RG R.Seymour and MLB D.Eubanks
The Browns have used a franchise tag (5.92M) on RT Mitchell Schwartz to guarantee a position at RT and offer Johnny a little protection in the upcoming season, after that the Browns will look elsewhere since Schwartz declined their overpaying offer and the team probably won't want to work with him in the future.
Alex Smith and starting MLB Joe Mays are both hitting free agency. Along with some elderly o lineman.
Soon to be FA Tamba Hali has been franchise tagged.
CB Treyon Soloman
Ended Negotiations with:
FS Winston Guy
QB Case Keenum
TE Marcel Jensen
RE Chris Clemons
DT Red Bryant
MLB Paul Posluszny
CB Princeton Saunders
Traded for Dennard and now not resigning? Booo
Wasn't taking my offers throughout the season.
The Eagles are likely to allow the following players to test free agency as their cap resources and the players request are not inline:
TE James Casey looking for long term mid level deal but at age 32 team doesn't feel comfortable with that investment
CB Cary Williams lost some speed as the season ended so the team felt it could look elsewhere for the position.
FS Michael Huff was signed a year ago as insurance in the secondary but management is not willing to offer a deal until they can gauge the market value
DE Vinny Curry is not a starter asking for starter level deal.
The team is in the process of coming to terms with the following players:
FS Merrill Everett signed to a 2 year deal for $1.1 million
CB Deandre Peterson signed to a 4 year deal worth $3 million
Separate names with a comma.
