Wildcat Weekly Week 1 Arizona 35 Fresno St 28 In a game that many saw as a week 1 blowout, Fresno St showed up to play and it was anything but. Arizona hung on to win, but realized how much work they have to do before PAC 10 play opens up. Arizona opened the scoring in the first on a 5 yard strike from Nick Foles to Juron Crinec. After a touchdown and field goal by the Bulldogs, Keola Antolin carried it in from 2 yards out to give the Wildcats a 14-10 halftime lead. A thrid quarter field goal pulled Fresno St back to within 1. Taimi Tutogi answered with a 7 yard touchdown run. Then Foles hit Crinec again, this time from 18 yards out, giving Arizona a 28-13 lead heading to the fourth. Foles hit Travis Cobb early in the fourth for a 5 yard touchdown. Two late Fresno St touchdowns made the final score 35-28. Foles finished 21 for 33 for 373 yards, 3 touchdowns and 2 picks. Antolin led the way on the ground with 91 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries. Cobb had 6 catches for 125 yards and a touchdown and Bug Wright had 4 receptions for 102 yards. Arizona opens up 1-0 and heads to East Lansing next week to take on the Spartans.
