Wisconsin 58 - Fresno State 0 Administration Mistake Makes For Interesting Game As Badgers Roll Past Bulldogs In an effort to excite the fan base about a home game against a Mid-Major Conference team, University officials provided fans with free beer throughout the First Quarter. Unfortunately, 95% of all Badger fans are raging alcoholics. This ungodly mixture lead to numerous fights, naked streakers, and other acts of lewdness. Although Badger fans were irate that University officials pulled the plug on the beer promotion, they had to be pleased with the outcome of the game. From the outset of the game, Wisconsin dominated both sides of the ball. It almost seemed that Fresno State quit on Pat Hill after falling behind early in this game. This is illustrated by the play of Senior QB Dustin Sherer. Normally a below average QB, he exploded against FSU for 254 yards and 3 scores. Ditto for Sophmore phenom John Clay, who ran for 143 yards and 2 scores. WR David Gilreath, who looked bound for stardom after an unbelieveable week 1 (182 yards), had a dissapointing game (1 catch for 5 yards). Next week the Badger backups figure to play a prominent role as lowly Wofford College come to Madison. After this scrimmage, the Badgers welcome Michigan State to Madison to kick off conference play in the Big Ten.
