Badgers Dominate Opener
Wisconsin did anything and everything the wanted especially after the 1st quarter. After UNLV Marcus Sullivan took in a 73 yard TD run to take a 7-3 lead for the Running Rebels, it was all Wisconsin. As they put on 42 straight points to win 45-7. Wisconsin dominated both sides of the ball from the line of scrimage with a nice rushing attack of 329 yards, and Russell Wilson also had a nice start to his Badger career with a 9-16 performance with 147 yards with a 1 td and 1 int with 52 yards on the ground and a touchdown. The Badger defense also dominated as they collected 9 sacks on the day and only allowing under 150 yards. Next Week will be a big one for Wisconsin as they face off against National Championship contenders the Stanford Cardinals.
Badgers Pull out Win in Heavyweight bout against Stanford
Heading into this weeks game neither Wisconsin or Stanford knew what to expect, as both teams easily won their first game in blowout fasion. This one started with either team struggling to even get a first down, eventually the offenses got going to Stanford striking first with a Andrew Luck 9 yard scramble in the endzone, the badgers stroke back with a Russell Wilson 65 yard touchdown to Jared Abberderis. The Cardinals put 3 up before half to take a 10-7 lead heading into the locker room.
Wisconsin opening try they would take the lead 14-10 on James White 10 yard rushing touchdown, but Stanford would strike back with stafon Taylor 6 yard rushing touchdown to put them back on top 17-14. The Badgers again strikes back with another James White 13 yard rushing touchdown with three and half minutes left to go in the game. Wisconsin would later tack on a field goal to take a 24-17 lead. But the Cardinals had one last opportunity and were driving, but when Luck threw a strike to his wide receiver, his quickly fumbled at the Badger 10 yard line, and Wisconsin bouced on the ball the seal the victory. Next up for the Badgers is Northern Illinois.
Badger Bouce Boise 41-10Wisconsin have now proven they are road tested as they dominate the #4 team in the land Boise State 41-10. James White continues his NCAA dominance with a 30 carry 130 yard performance as he still leads the nation in rushing yards. With a tight game at half time with a 13-10 Badger advantage. Wisconsin would dominate the 2nd half by outscoring Boise 28-0 in the 2nd half on the blue turf. Boise State QB Kellen Moore struggled mightily with 3 interceptions which also included 2 pick sixes. Wisconsin should move in the rankings this week as the begin Big Ten play on the road in Lincoln, Nebraska against the undefeated Huskers.
