What to look for in 2017......

With the departure of record setting Quarterback Bart Houston the Badgers will turn to RS Sophmore Corey Mann. The 6' 4" 231 lbs Soph from Marshall Michigan brings more pure athleticism to the table then the departed Houston but Mann still has some work to do developing his arm mechanics.

The development of WRs Carter and Barrett. The RS JR Carter is looking to become a big part of the offesne after a tremendous off-season workout that saw his SPD jump to 95 and his ACC jump to 96. Combine that with his route running ability (91), release off the line (91), and his ability to make impossible catches (92 spec CTH) Carter could be one of the top WR in the Big Ten. RS Sophmore Adam Barrett is coming off a spectacular year as a Freshman, Barrett recorded 60 receptions for 1148 Yds and 18 TDs. Barrett is the Badgers top deep threat being 6' 3" and having the Speed (96) and Acc (96) to get behind any defense.

Running Back Micah Smith is the Badgers feature back and they will rely on him heavily. Last season Smith ran for 1344 Yds and 16 TDs as a Freshman. The Badgers will continue to pound the middle of opposing defenses with Smith's large frame (6'1" 221) and ability to bull doze defenders (99 Truck) and push them out of the way (99 Stiff Arm).

The offense for the Badgers will change slightly this season and most likely for good. Look for Offensive Coordinator Matt Canada deploy some spread looks and take advantage of the athleticism of QB Corey Mann.

On the defensive side of the ball the Badgers are going to get a little more creative with their formation and packages. Their base will continue to be the 3-4 but with the additions of Defensive Ends David Irby (6'3" 242) and Nick Dunlap (6' 229) the badgers will look for way to get these two pass rushers on the field with their hand down or from a 2 point stance.

The Badgers will look to avenge their 3 point loss to Ohio State and prove they can hang with the SEC with the start to their Home and Home series with Alabama
