    Wk 2: Raiders 30 Chiefs 10

For the second week in a row, the Raiders had to face a division rival. This time on the road against the Kansas City Chiefs and coach Winuvas. After a tuff lose to the Chargers, the Raiders couldnt afford to fall to 0-2 and fall 2 games behind the 1-0 Chiefs. The Chiefs were coming off a nice win against a very tuff Ravens team and were looking to stay undefeated and at least share the division lead if both the Chargers and Broncos win in week 2.

    1st quarter
Raiders get the ball first, and quickly get their offense moving down the field. Oakland would run their way into Chief territory, only to come up short on a 3rd down play. Raiders would settle for a Lindell 32yd FG to take the early lead. That lead would not last long, as the Chiefs RB L.Johnson would rumble through the Raiders "D" for a 12yd TD, and a Chief 7-3 lead. The Chiefs could only celebrate until the insuing kick off, thats when Raiders return ace, J.Lee Higgins would shake-n-bake 96 yards for the TD and re-take the lead 10-7.

    2nd quarter
As the 2nd quarter got underway, the Chiefs found themselves trailing by a FG, but they were putting together a nice drive, a drive that looked as though they could retake the lead and maybe control of the game. The Raiders D would stiffen though, and not allow the Chiefs to find the end-zone and forced a Succop 36yd FG, that would tie it up 10-all. The 2nd quarter was a defensive battle, neither team getting much going...that was until right before the half, thats when the Raiders picked up some steam and found themselves at the Chiefs 9 yard line, facing a 3rd and goal. Russell would hit D.Heyward-Bey on a quick slant to score the final points of the 1st half, more importantly..the score would give the Raiders a 17-10 lead at the half.

    3rd quarter
The 3rd quarter was all about the "D". Both teams played a great defensive 3rd quarter. The Raiders would score the only points of the quarter when RB J.Fargas took the pitch and ran around the right side for a 40 yard TD run. This gave the Raiders a 2 score lead, 24-10

    4th quarter
This quarter belonged to the Raiders, as they would shut out the Chiefs again while the offense found some running room, just enough to get another Lindell FG from 47yds out. Down by 17 points the Chiefs were forced to throw more than I think they wanted too, and it lead to a Raider pick..which set up another Lindell FG of 33yds with only a minute left in the game. The Chiefs would fight no more, and would take a couple of kneel downs just to run out the clock.

GG Winuvas GL rest of the season...and I will see you in Oakland Week 10 for the rematch....(y)
