    Air Force vs New Mexico

    Air Force 24
    New Mexico 14

Air Force traveled to New Mexico this weekend to play the 1-1 Lobos. This was the first conference game for both teams, and with BYU and Utah both threatening to dominate to the conference this year, any win will be a big one for teams looking to knock them off.

    1st Quarter
Air Force came out running the football well behind RB Stephens. He carried the load into the red zone, but the drive stalled at the 8 yard line and Air Force settled for a FG. 3-0

    2nd Quarter
After a 4 down goal line stand, Air Force got the ball back on their own 1 Yd line. QB Jefferson put together a great drive and capped it off with a 9 Yd QB Keeper for a TD. 10-0

New Mexico came back out after the kickoff and QB Gruner went deep on the first play to WR Jones for a 84 Yard TD. 10-7

Air Force drove the field again and Jefferson threw a 8 Yd TD pass to TE Tew for a TD, leaving only 23 seconds remaining in the half. 17-7

    3rd Quarter
New Mexico came out of the half looking to pull the score closer. They ran the ball well and RB Wright finished their first drive with a 1 Yard TD. 17-14.

Air Force would get a decent drive going at the end of the quarter and QB Jefferson would contribute his 3rd TD by hooking up with WR Warzeka for a 7 Yard score. 24-14

After the 3rd Quarter, the Air Force defense shut down the Lobos, not allowing another score. Air Force worked the clock with help from RB Stephens till time expired.

    WKU 45 FCS MW 3

WKU dominated from opening whistle. With backup QB Vasquez leading the offense with 2 tds passing and good option reads providing a spark for the team. We got to see both 3rd and 4th string rbs in game due to minor injuries to both Hayden and Rainey. Don't worry Hilltopper fans coaches assured me they will be back next week. Other stars on offense were Cooper with 2 long tds, and Boyer with 1 rush TD and 1 rec TD. Boyer lead with 70 yds rushing.

Cooper with 169 All purpose yards and 2 TDS
