    wk 4: Chargers (27) @ Steelers (23)

Trailing for most of the game, the Chargers pulled out a win in Pittsburgh, held to season lows in total yards and points the chargers improve to 4-0. San Diego was brought down to earth by a aggressive Steelers defense that smacked P. Rivers around and held LT to just 51 total yards. Most of the 1st half belong to the Steelers who jumped to a 16 -3 led entering halftime with a 25 yard rush by Mendenhall, to close out the half. The second half saw the SD defense flex their muscle as CB J. Thomas intercepted Rothlisberger returning it to paydirt, to give the Chargers their first lead of the game since the opening drive. The Steelers returned the ensuing kickoff 99 yds to take the lead back 23-17. The Chargers kick a FG to cut the lead 23-20 in the 4th quarter, after exchanging turnovers, the Steelers were forced to punt, the Chargers drove down the field, scoring on a 6 yard run by D. Sporles with 2:36 left on the clock. The Steelers final drive was a clinic in passing as Rothlisberger took his team down field converting two 4th downs, but the drive stalled at the SD 18, on a incomplete pass on fourth and 6, sealing the victory for the Chargers.
