    Wk 5: Rams (42) Raiders (39)

The St. Louis Rams move to 3-2 on the season after getting a big win in their first road game against the Oakland Raiders. Possession was the gameplan for St. Louis and that is exactly what they did controlling the ball for 22:12 minutes of the game. HB Steven Jackson would start the scoring of for St. Louis with a fumble as he was going into the endzone, which would eventually be recovered by the Raiders. How would this start the scoring for St. Louis? Well, the Raiders would take over on their own 1 and MLB Laurinaitis would come on hot and force the safety. The Rams would go up 8-0 after 2 FGs, both of which came after the Oakland D would stop St. Louis on 3rd and very very short. It would be back and forth from there. In the 4th, St. Louis would hold a 28-25 lead to start. FB Karney would punch it in from the 1 to go up 35-25 with about 3 mins left. On the ensuing Raiders possession, Warner would find Higgins who would dodge tackles on his way to a 49 yard TD to pull back within 3. WR Donnie Avery would put the lead back to 10 for St. Louis with a 98 yard kickoff return TD. With only 1 second left on the clock, Oakland would score on a 87 yard TD reception by Shillens, his 10th catch of the game, but with only 1 second left, St. Louis would recover the onside kick to end the game 42-39.
