San Diego looked to rebound after a bad loss to Kansas City, and did just that with a shutout of the Cleveland Browns. Offensively, the Chargers were led by LaDainian Tomlinson who opened up the first drive with a 80-yard touchdown run on his way to a 150 yard rushing day. Phillip Rivers did not have many attempts as the gameplan was to win the game in the trenches but with those few passes he made most out of them throwing a touchdown to Josh Cribbs and Darren Sproles on his way to a perfect day. The bigger story was the play of the Chargers Defense and return man Darren Sproles.
Giving up big plays in the lost to Kansas City, Coach Maij challenged the defense, as he saw another big running back in the opposition's backfield that could give his team problems, but the defense answered the challenge, holding Jamal Lewis to 32 yards and the Browns offense to just 197 yards while registering the first shutout of the season.
Darren Sproles who has been bottled up in the return game for the past couple weeks, made his presence felt returning two punts for touchdowns, to put the game out of reach.

Next week the Chargers put their 6-0 road record to the test once again as they head to "The House that Jerry Built," Cowboys Staduim to tangle with America's Team the Dallas Cowboys.
