    WK2: Cards 21, Rams 17

Coming off the Cards big win over the Seahawks last week, the Cards were nothing if not confident. Maybe overly so. Fortunately, the Rams were in town to give them the reality check they needed, overcoming some mental mistakes by Matt Lienart and winning in nail biting fashion.

The first half was an even affair, with both teams scoring but not having much success effectively executing their game plans. Going into the 4th quarter Cards trailed the Rams 17-14 with 3 and a half minutes to go and wanted to milk the clock and score and leave as little time for Rams to answer.

Unfortunately, Cards 1st round pick Bjoern Mason would have none of that, taking a inside handoff to the house for 40 yards leaving plenty of time on clock for the Rams to answer back.

In the end though, Matt Cassell was not able to put together a scoring drive together, and Cards got the W. Game ball once again goes to Bjoern Mason who went 100+ for the 2nd straight game and scored the game winning TD.

Rams lose another close one to another good opponent to fall to 0-2. Time for the ball to bounce my way and put some kind of win streak together to get in the race this year.
