Patriots Grab Another Divisional Win vs The Winless Jets

    Foxoboro, MA

Patriots hosted the winless Jets in another crucial divisional matchup. This game showed the balance of the Patriots offense as the first half belong to Brady and the second half to Gore. Patriots would open up the scoring on a field goal by Bironas and then Brady would then connect again with Randy Moss on a 63 yards bomb as he made the catch over Shepard and then broke the tackle for the score. After a turnover by the Jets in the 2nd quarter, Brady would find Chris Baker on a 29 yard catch and run for another Patriots TD. Jets would take advantage of a late Brady interception as rookie L.James ran it in from 1 yard out to get the Jets on the board to close the half.

Second half belong to the Patriots defense and an offensive machine lead by Frank Gore who finished with 16 carries for 133 yards and two touchdowns. Gore had touchdowns runs of 24 yards and 52 yards in the second half as the Patriots defense finished with 4 interceptions off Sanchez one of them by Darius Butler who leads the OMFL so far in that category with 8.

Jets have another divisional game next week as they host the Buffalo Bills and the Patriots will play in the hostile Dawg Pound in Cleveland when the play the Browns.
