Butler Continues Record Setting Pace With Two Interceptions as Patriots Turn Away Browns.

    Cleveland, OH

Patriots would began a 3 game stretch of playing AFC North teams with the first starting out in Cleveland against the Browns. Patriots coming off a blowout of the winless Jets while the Browns pulled a close one out vs. the Panthers in previous weeks.

Patriots started out the first drive moving down the field looking to get 7 early but had to settle for a field goal as the Browns defense held tight in the redzone. Browns would then start with the games first touchdown as Rookie QB Morrow connected with Williamson on a 12 yard pass to put them up (3--7). Patriots would respond as Brady drove the offense down field again this time finding Bradley in the flats for an 8 yard score to put the Pats up (10-7). Browns would respond with another field on their next possession before the Patriots would score 14 unanswered to close the half, one a 42 yard bomb to Randy Moss and then Gore a 94 yard TD run as time expired that was set up by a Woodyard interception of Morrow at the goalline (24-10).

Second half Gore would lead the team downfield again before fumbling in the redzone which was returned 94 yards by Wright for a score (24-17). Patriots would be forced to punt on their next possession as the momentum looked to swing towards the Browns but Morrow would get picked off by Butler who had 2 interceptions on the day but this one went for a score to get the Pats on the board (31-17). After a field goal by Bironas to increase the lead the Browns and Pats would take turns scoring with the Browns scoring the last touchdown before the Patriots ran out the clock.

Even though the Rookie QB threw 5 interceptions he should tremendous poise in the pocket and Williamson was his favorite target this day. Gore would run for 174 yards and score on 19 carries and Brady would toss 3 td for 231 yards and a interception. Butler recorded his 10 interception of the season with the two interceptions this game and Mayo began to get on track and he also snag two from the sky.

    GG man.

I definitely have the interception bug (in two leagues I think 11 interceptions in 2 games).

Being a 49ers fan in real life, seeing Gore decimate me was definitely something hard to swallow. Good game Gaddy.
