No Cat And Mouse Games In Foxboro As Patriots Get The Win.

    Foxboro, MA

Patriots would host one the most explosive WR combo's they have faced so far this year in Ocho and Edwards. Not to mention then had a Top 10 QB throwing the ball as well with Carlson Palmer. Packed house in Gillette welcomed the Bengals as they played the Patriots.

Patriots would waste no time getting the crowd involved in the game as Brady connected with Moss on a 69 yard catch and run on the games first play to put them on the board early. Bengals would respond as Palmer move the ball downfield before connecting with Ochocino in the corner from 13 yards out to tie the game at (7-7). Brady would his second possession moving the Patriots back downfield before connecting with Gore from 10 yards out at the start of the 2nd quarter. The teams would then exchange two field goals before they would head into the locker room with the Pats up (17-10).

Second Half on the opening kickoff Garvin would take it 107 yards for the score to tie the game for the Bengals at (17-17). Unfortunately this would be all the scoring the Bengals could do as the Patriots locked down defensively in the second half, intercepting Palmer 3 times (Mayo, Meriweather, Greer) to set up key New England scores and stop big drives being made by the Bengals. Patriots would add a field goal in the 3rd before tacking on 2 more scores in the 4th on Brady 13 yard TD pass to Watson and Gore on a 34 yard TD run to end the game.

Patriots secondary would play a little better than last week as they were able to contain Ochocinco and Edwards also keeping Palmer under 200 yards passing while intercepting him 3 times. Brady would throw the usual 3 touchdowns for 299 yards with 1 interception, while Moss would grab 4 of those for 121 yards and a score, Gore would also contribute with 145 yards on the ground on 16 touches and a score. Second year MLB Wesley Woodyard continues his solid play getting 7 tackles and a sack, Warren and Thomas would also grab a sack of Palmer on their own. While Mayo would grab his 7th interception on the year picking off a Palmer pass.
