    Wolverine Report

#2 Michigan played host to last years Rose Bowl Champion and rival Pac10 Team California...

Cal won the toss and Coach Jvig chose to defer..

Michigan got the opening kick and drove down the field. TE Haumiller caught a 7yrd strike over the middle to give Michigan the lead.. Coach T2Express was excited.. Cal would show its offensive power pounding the rock against Michigan's vaunted defense.. Yarnway plowed in from 4yards out.. 7-7.. Michigan would get the ball with 14 seconds left and wasted no time in replying back to Cal with its own rushing attack.. Robinson fake left and rolled right in the Triple option catching Cal out in the open. Vincent Smith got the pitch and took it to the house.. 14-7 after 1..

Both teams would trade punts in the early part of the 2nd.. with a little over 1:30 Michigan got the ball back from Cal and Smith would lose the ball while trying to cut.. Setting up Cal with 1st and 10 on the 10yard line.. The Michigan defense stood tall... forcing Cal to take the 3pts.. 10-7 Cal.. Michigan trying to get an other quick score before the break.. threw and INT and Cal took it back to the house.. 17-14 at the break.. (Cal)

Jvig took the ball in the 3rd and wasted little time showing his effectivness as a runner.. plowing threw the Michigan defenders like butter... C. Love would extend the lead to 24-14 with 3:40 left in the qtr.. Michigan not ready to give up.. Audibled out and went to a deep pass down the right side where Stokes broke free and took the pass and catch 79yards to bring Michigan back to life.. 24-21.. But the bliss wouldnt last long for Michigan as Cal ran the ball right behind the left tackle and Yarnway was able to go UNTOUCHED for 69yards to extend the lead back to 10.. 31-21.. But again Michigan was able to make some magic happen at home. Vincent Smith took the Kick off at the 8 yard line and took it the distance 91yards for 6pts and Michigan again pulled within 3... 31-28..

In the forth Coach T2Express began to worry about his team and if they could win the game.. having flash backs from last years heart breaking loss at Pasadena CA.. to Cal.. But with 3:34 Michigan found paydirt when Robinson plowed in from 1 yard out. Giving Michigan its first lead since the 1st qtr.. But Coach Jvig looked unweathered.. Marching the Golden Bears down the field and Love bounced in from 9 yards out to put the Bears back up by 3 with only 1:43 to go in the game.. 38-35.. Coach T2Express was on the edge of a mental breakdown.. the entire season rode on this drive.. Michigan got the ball on the 32yard line and began what may go down in school history as the greatest drive ever.. Michigan came out and put the ball in star TB Vincent Smith's hands.. pounding the ball down the field eating up as much clock as possible since Coach T2 didnt think he could keep Cal at bay. So down the field they went crossing the 45yrd line of Cal with 35 seconds left.. Left, right, Left Michigan ran calling a TO with 17 seconds left.. Michigan tried to hit a long pass down the left and side from around the 30 yard line but Cal played the ball perfectly. 7 Seconds remained.. Knowing Michigan did not have time to throw a pass call a time out and set something up, Coach T2Express sent out the FG unit.. with season riding on this play the offense lined up.. The snap was clean, but QB McKenzie picked up the ball and fired right to TB Jones coming across the middle, Jones caught the ball and was tackled at the 1yard line but Jones fell into the endzone giving Michigan the 42-38pt lead with 1 second left..

    GREAT GAME JVIG!!!!!

I will post stats and videos of the game tomorrow.. stay tuned.

after being down with no ps3

    Coach T2 is back..

Taking on Northwestern in the big house Michigan started hot.. but a few mistakes took off 21 points which would have givin the Wolverines a 42-3 lead. but taking points away allowed NW to stay in the game.. bringing the score as close as 19-28 but a late TD run by Star TB Vincent sealed the victory with less than 3mins left in the game.

    Michigan takes down #9 MINN

in a balenced attack the Wolverines took down the Gophers 31-20 to take back the Little brown jug. Robinson rushed for 100+ yards and the defense forced a couple INTs.

    GG to CA!
