Cesar PhiGuy179 just when you're home and it's a draw or whenever you win you post something like this. Also on plays like this I would say just kick the ball out since that free kick was won sort of unfairly. Don't know what the commish would say RedAL925 Frenchie1916 Zikry? Just play on or kick it out? Really well played though.
No problem honestly took my eye off of the screen to spit and it was a free kick so I thought you nicked my dude or something, won't happen again
Oh no problem it's cool, you played really well for it being your first semi-competitive game. Enjoyed the game, good luck the rest of the way!
Are you kidding me? My goalie went up to the box (by his own I may add) and went out the box (again by his own). Riddle me this how was that a fair free kick? Go play seasons man. May I add unfairly as there was no merit from him to win it.
I'd definitely call that one a boot-it-out scenario. I know guys in the league who would take advantage of this, but in the interest of sportsmanship, most would not. It's like when your defender, already on the ground, rolls into an opposing striker in the box and the ref awards a PK - put that thing in Row Q. But no harm, no foul in this case.
LOL. Dude, your keeper made a mistake. Tough luck...keepers dont come out on their own unless you are holding the triangle button. Either way...players in real life aren't perfect--mistakes happen. Spirit of the rules is one thing, but it seems every game you play there are 2-3 instances the game "screwing you over". The games should be fun....it's not fun when you have a complaint on every opponent after every single result. Say GG and take 1 or 0 points with class sometimes. I've never seen you post any of this stuff after a win. Funny how that works...
That's not entirely true. There are times when, on plays like that, the keeper will come out on his own to catch the ball. Whether triangle was pressed or not in this case, it's a pretty clear glitch in the game, not a "human error" situation.
Au contraire keepers do come out to the top of the box when the ball is kicked like this. Unless it's too far from him to get aka the ball is going out of bounds. I'm not complaining I enjoyed that game, just think sweaty goals hmm ya know shouldn't be seen in a sim league. But again some will go and win at any expense. Again he can take it if he likes, but in my mind like Frenchie said sportsmanship wise I would kick it out. But to each his own man Also I just want a clarification of the rules, gray areas like this. So in the future I will know what to do.
Shouldn't the game have variety and different outcomes though? If Samuel Eto'o flicks the ball in the box and it accidentally hits Thiago Silva's hand in the box, should Cameroon not be allowed to take the PK?? Instances like the above happen in FIFA every what, 20+ games? It's not like it is a major exploit or flaw in the game. There's absolutely no way PhiGuy intended to chip the ball precisely where your keeper would do that. And your sweaty comment has no merit, there was nothing sweaty about it. Honestly not trying to pick a fight, but it is good discussion. I just checked back and in your last 4 games, you have been "cheated". I think we could all nitpick something in a 20+ minute game, but to do it after every result (unless you win of course) is kind of annoying.
There are things that happen in real life that we try to short circuit in the match because we have no control over them. What we try to do is ensure the outcome of the match is controlled by the two guys on the controllers, not random computer-generated circumstances that the game decides will happen. For the most part, a real keeper isn't going to handle the ball outside of the area in an instance like this - where he's under no pressure. He'll drop it when he reaches the edge of the area or spin his body around to keep the ball inside. But we as players have no control over what he does. So to have a game, theoretically, decided 1-0 against a player because of something completely out of his control like this is something we try to avoid if possible. And in this type of instance, it's entirely possible; recognize it for the computer-generated error that it is and play the ball out. And your example of hand ball is exactly why we have hand balls turned off - we want as much control in the hands of the managers as possible, and hand balls are completely out of your control. You're right, it's not a major exploit and it doesn't happen often. But when it does happen, a game shouldn't turn because of it.
I don't mind losing at all. Real life or not, I don't think this is what TFS is about. This one I did complain and I'll keep bringing up as it changed the game. You can clearly see I didn't have possession, I thought you were just going for the pressure and not take it away, but to be safe I passed it back to my goalie. That team sucked so the ball barely went anywhere. I would argue this is a good vid to use for what not to do. If upper management disagrees and I'm in the wrong then I'll accept it and let it go. Also not saying he did it on purpose anywhere, just wanted to know what to do in that situation. In my mind for sportsmanship reasons I would kick it out as I would deem it unfair to take advantage on a mistake not created by the other player but by the CPU. I bring all these issues here because like you I'm not a veteran in TFS, I'm still unclear in some gray areas. So in the future if these situations were to occur again I would know what to do, what not to do, etc. Again I just want to be clear for the upcoming year, twitch allows me to share things I'm unclear in. Like pressure throwing guys, what do to in situations like this, and many more. When a situation presents itself in one of my games I share it to others so I can hear their input and so forth. Like you said discussion like this is good for the future of the league.
And btw in that game you did deserve the win since my only goal scoring threat came from a corner to the hands of your goalie. Also 0 shots and all. Not calling you out or any others with these vids. Just good for discussion and future references for new members and even the older dudes.

No sweat man. Again, not trying to come across as confrontational so I apologize if I did. I just think we should all be careful when assuming someone is trying to win at all costs or be cheap. Those words and accusations are a scarlet letter in the sim community, so unless someone is egregiously playing like an asshole, I rarely "call out" opponents. As you said, you are posting these things just to get clarification, which is what the replays, twitch, etc. are for. No problems there....just don't want you to feel like everyone is out to get you or trying to beat you no matter what, because I honestly don't think that's the case with anyone here. We all win some and lose some, and it should still be fun. Just as a final point, here are some GK Bloopers that illustrate the fact that errors DO happen in real life. Players aren't perfect, refs aren't perfect, we as FIFA players aren't robots. If we are trying to emulate real like futbol, I personally have no problem with my players making a glaring error every dozen games or so. Either way, helpful and healthy discussion IMO. Seeya on the pitch.
This is why we have these unofficial tournaments before we move on to the real deal. We all need to be on the same page when it comes to what's fair and what's not, and this tournament is a great way to practice our skills as well as get used to the new features that are provided for us, as Twitch is one of them. I don't mind seeing as many as videos to clarify the game play we will be using for next seasons and on... We are not here to win win win. We are all here to have fun, because we are passionate about the best sport in the world and that's called Futbol

Candavre(45') M. De Sciglio Olcay Sahan (82') Caner Erkin These two managers have never met before this match, so they both were unsure about each other`s capabilities and their game plays, that is why first half of the game was mostly a midfield battle. Nuri Sahin has scored for Turkey right before the half ended, but Italy`s man Candreva didn`t want Turks to go to the locker rooms with a happy face, and made it 1-1 right before the referee whistled to end the half. Second half was a little bit more open. Both teams found more shots, but Turkey seemed to be the better side with finding 10 shots, and all of them were on target. Gigi Buffon was not giving up until Besiktas man Olcay Sahan stepped in to the game on 81st minute, and scored a goal on his first touch of the game. This goal was sure enough to take the first 3 points of the World Cup for Turkey. Good game Lou Good luck with the rest of the games.
Wouldn't this be considered an interception/pressure in the opponents 1st 1/3? I would have kicked the ball OB here, not gone for a goal...just my 2 cents.... Also, I don't think I would have sprinted/pressured the throw in if it was thrown back towards his backers. If he went forward with the throw, or to a midfielder, that's different IMO.
I'm merely asking, not placing blame on anyone...just for the record. I've played with enough of you that you know I'll err on the side of sportsmanship over going for a W, and my record in the league can confirm this as I think I have only won 3-4 games in the time I've been here....lots of ties tho....LOL
yeah I thought the same thing during the game, brought it up here so others could discuss and so on. That way the rules become clearer before FIFA 15. Twitch is an awesome tool now, from live broadcast of important league games to correcting mistakes or other issues.
