World Sportscar Championship Series - All Wednesdays in August World Sportscar Championship This series is loosely based on the World Sportscar Championship series of the mid to late 60's and early 70's. The most famous car from that era is the Ford GT40, even if it wasn't always the most successful, it had flashes of brilliance at the right time (and on the right track). We will recreate some of this fun by running cars from the era and matching them up, trying to make them competitive against each other. This is just for fun, so keep that in mind at all times. Prizes: No... Well, I have noticed people just want to race for the most part. A prize worthy of fighting for is not something I can provide, and the guys most likely to win typically say they don't need it. I will be gifting a tuned car to people that show good sportsmanship and race consistently throughout. Racers: I want a balanced list where there is competition for everybody. And people who will show. There are only 8 spots. Please post if you're interested and/or confirm that you can make it Spots are being held for the following people: JMS Casino Hellisan Del SNG JTolley (need to check that he will make it; he didn't make it Wednesday despite saying he is free Wednesdays) Bondzai Basis I'm also taking other people as alternates and/or if people can't make it. Allowed Cars: Only two of any car are allowed on the grid. So please call yours out. If you are running the racing line (best time) stick to it. If you are running a blocking line (hugging the inside of a corner tyipcally) then stick to it. In other words if you run the inside of the corner and somebody tries to pass you wide, stay on the inside edge of the corner... Make room for the two of you to race. *Blocking on a straight - Blocking on a straight is picking the best angle for approaching the next corner in a blocking angle and placing your car on that side of the straight. YOU DO NOT SWERVE to block an opponent at any time. You also do not place your car in the middle of the track, unless the other person will not catch you before the turn. If they aren't going to catch you before the turn, you may place your car anywhere on the track. This is a racing line *Don't run into people. This might seem obvious but do your best to avoid it. If it's an accident, it's just that. An accident. Forgive and forget. I know you guys know how to drive, these are all just reminders. Race setup Reverse order of Driver level, staggered starts in every race based on race length.
