Would you guys be interested selecting our teams for next year right now?

Would you guys be interested selecting our teams for next year right now?

I'd kinda like to know what team I'm going to be.... I spoke with Bruce the other day and (hope I'm not speaking out of line here Russ) he seemed to feel the same way.

Reason for that is, I'm hoping to get back to my dynasty-posting roots next year and all that... Thinking that with better pursuit angles there will be fewer 80-0 blowouts (and those games aren't much fun to write something about). This would allow me to start making images and coming up with a format for it, etc...

    Thoughts?

Let's not have a seven page thread. Let's just have a vote. We all know what we feel the pluses and minuses are. Let's have a vote, then start selecting teams for next season.

Personally I'm for the ACC/SEC thing. I was against it for a long time but I think it will breed great storylines.

It will keep the talent on the teams realistic. And the worst thing would be having ACC/SEC/Big 12 because the Big 12 would have an EXTREME recruiting advantage. (Much bigger advantage than the Pac-10 and Texas teams have now)

i think everyone knows where i stand.. ACC/SEC... and Rhude can add Syracuse.

JMS and Penn State is up in the air in my mind... i thing that's too far fetched.. but if it will get the votes needed for the 2 conference setup i would be for it.

I hope JMS can get Penn State too....PA is actually one of Cuse's pipelines.....we never sucessfully steal any of PSU's recruits, but it's fun nonetheless

So you guys want me to set up a vote thread?

I'd be o.k. with Penn State in the ACC... They're on the Atlantic Coast (right?) or is my geography screwed up?) , in some ways makes more sense than the Big Ten.

I'm down for the 2 conference setup. I have no problem with the customizing for Rhude or JMS either.

Team selection should be random. In the case were 2 people want the same team.

    LOL

In the case of SEC/ACC, some of the teams have already long been understood that they were spoken for or whatever

    Penn State - JMS
    Syracuse - Rhude
    Miami - NYJuggalo

From there I think we should all just state what teams we want, and flip a coin for those that more than two people want, or whatever.... Or if you wanna draw names out of a hat or something? I dunno.

I'd really like to be in the SEC, not even sure what team I'd like yet...

I want to make sure that I understand everyone correctly. Again we are venturing into custom conferences (which I thought we all wanted to stay away from) to accomadte someone getting their favorite team. We are talking about adding a 6 star prestige program that is not going to have any natural recruiting peers. From what I read in the blogs Prestige is going more important for recruiting and progression..

Recruits will take the quality of the school more into account when they are created. Location was too important when recruits were created in NCAA 09, going forward the quality of the school will be the most important factor.

Team Prestige is now a much bigger factor in Progression; the quality of your team will influence how fast your players gain attributes.

Yeah, maybe Penn St. is a bit much, I dunno....

I think everybody is o.k. with the Cuse coming in (hell I'm rubbing my hands together gleefully)...

    Maybe we should do:

    1) Vote (conference setup) - 2 or 3 (votes visible)

    2) Vote (if 2 conferences) Penn State in? (votes invisible)

    3) start choosing teams.

The argument has its points Fosh.

For instance, no ACC team went better than 5-3 in conference last season. So if you think it looks watered down compared to the SEC in terms of just looking at last season's rosters, just wait until this year. I predict no ACC teams over 85 OVR.

Another problem is that there isn't a team that could go to the Big Ten and make that conference look even remotely realistic. TBH I was against Custom conferences but Syracuse to the ACC / BC to the Big East is a pretty natural move. Who would we put in the Big Ten... Duke? Maryland may be the only semi-realistic answer, but if I was to have a late choice of teams, they'd be up there for me in terms of the ACC...
