    Looking to buy a new XB headset.

    Now, I've shopped around and looked online at different consumer reports and I've come to the conclusion that I'm clueless.

    I've looked at TurtleBeach and others.

    So if you have a brand and a specific headset to buy what would recommend?

    Ya Randy you mentioned to me about getting the Turtle...I just don't know if a poor college kid like me should be dropping 2 bones on some headsets for XBL, know what I mean?

    Honestly, I've had the wired version and its just as good. I was just sick and tired of having to be wired to the 360, so I made the upgrade. At the end of the day, anything made by Turtle Beach is a solid investment.

    I had the turtle beach wired version but it drive me nuts being wired to the xbox and I didn't like not having a free ear. And I wasnt about to drop more than 50 bucks on a headset. I ordered one on Amazon. It was cheap. I dont remember the brand and its not found anywhere on the headset but it's glossy black with the xbox green color on the earpiece and mic. It's worked great and I think it was about 10 bucks.

    wow, that's a low price....

    see I know the Turtle Beach is amazing, I just wanted to see if it was the only ones at its quality for its price. Obviously, you pay more for better products (usually), just wanted to see what the consensus was.

    The standard ones work great until they don't work. Been through three of them and decided to see if this other brand would last longer.

    Dude just for football and casual online gaming I love the wireless xbox 360 one. Its really comfortable, light, and doesnt weigh me down. I think I got it for around 20-30 on newegg too.;

    It's really comfortable, it works with your computer, it doesn't break easily (I've broken sooooo many of the regular ones), the cord is really long, and it's amazing for playing at night and shooters where hearing footsteps (or the explosions if you don't have speakers set up for your TV).

    I have one of these and I love it. Not a big fan of the wireless ones

    I stared at the X31 at WalMart tonight for 5 minutes...it was $100, I debated and debated, and debated...then picked up the $20 headset. Next time, next time.

    Ain't is now in websters dictionary I believe. The wireless Microsoft ones are good for the guy using it but it will honestly piss everyone else off. The feedback in those are awful. I hated playing cod with guys that used those. All you hear is a buzz

    I use the Tritton Technologies AX720's, they are a wired digital gaming headset that simulates surround sound and only cost me $130. The only complaint I hear is that the microphone quiets my voice more to people on the other end. For the price though everything I hear is fantastic.

    I have a turtle beach, I didn't like it because I would have to turn all the game sound down to hear people in my party but I found that nice feature where it turns the game down by itself when people talk, so I like it now. I only use it whenever the fiance' is asleep but me yelling into the mic doesn't really help. It's amazing, I hear stuff in the crowd/ players shit talking, playing NBA 2k11 that I've never heard, Playing NCAA 11, the crowd noise makes it feel like your in the atmosphere, you also hear stuff that you've never heard. It helps a lot playing COD, foot steps, just all kinds of crap, it's amazing the difference.
