Offensive Outlook:With the departure of former OSU Quarterback Zac Robinson, new starter Brandon Weeden will need to step up and lead this young but talented Cowboy team on offense. Weeden has all the tools standing at 6'4" with a strong arm and excellent accuracy. To help Weeden out is Tailback Kendall Hunter, a prolithic runner with subperb top end speed & quickness. Before last seasons dreaded ankle injury, Hunter had racked up over 1,600 rush yards in his sophmore campaign. At Wide Receiver #84 Hurbert Anyiam returns at the leading spot. Anyiam has an excellent combination in speed and hands. On the other side, Junior Josh Cooper, more a slot type WR will be asked to fill the No.2 spot. On the offensive line, the Cowboys are quite solid for a group with only one senior. Left tackle Nick Martinez has showed excellent pass/rush blocking skills to protect Weeden's blind side. Senior right guard Anthony Morgan is a mauler that loves to pull and cause some trouble.

Defensive Outlook:With the new installment of the 3-4 scheme. Alot of people are looking forward to seeing the new Cowboys defense for the 2010 season. Upfront, stud Nose Guard Shane Jarka will be asked to take on double teams and let others run free for the glory. Right-Outside Linebacker Justin Gent (SR) will be relied on to pressure the QB. At Middle, Senior Tola Moala will get to make a bunch of plays. Helping Tola out, strong side MLB and Freshman LeRon Furr will have his hands full playing at such a young age in a new scheme. The secondary is full of young talent lead by Free Safety & Ball Hawk Johnny Thomas. Thomas is always around the ball and will be a huge part of this defenses success. Sophmore Broderick Brown returns as the #1 corner and will be tested early against the likes of AJ Green from Georgia. Brown, though a sophmore, already seems like a 4 year starter the way he carries himself on the field. Time will only tell though on how he holds up for the season.

Special Teams:Kicker/Punter Dan Bailey returns for his Senior Year. Dan has a strong and accurate leg. He could be called upon several times this years in OSU's tough & critical season. He needs to be mentally tough.
